Leighton Baines our most important player?

Assists, free kick specialist, goals, crossing, pace, he's a defender and our only recognised left back. If Bainesy gets injured we are in BIG trouble, distin or neville would fill the position but not give any of the attributes that Baines gives. Moyes needs to wrap Baines in cotton wool and we all need to keep our fingers crossed he has another injury free season.

He is for sure mate

A Blues fan friend of mine was telling me that we should have sold Baines for 15m and brought in Ridgewell as a replacement, as he's also good in the middle. I can't describe the face I pulled in my amazement at hearing this, but it shows that there are still some people out there who think "he's just a left back". Can you imagine L.Ridgewell taking corners, free kicks, those crosses?

He's as good as any left back out there for me.
