thats 6 strikers, not including academy/reserve players breaking through like baxter for instance.

I can accept fully that if we lose a striker or two then we will need to get another one in, smith and beattie are similar in shapee and style, i cant judge nugent properly (liked the mispelt 'nugnet' name myself)

Im most worried that if we bring more strikers in then we run the risk of putting others noses out of joint, and id like to see the strikers we have stretched and pressured properly over a full season before we spunk a load of cash up the wall when our lack of midfielders is at a critical point.

I think we could do with one more mate. If AJ gets a nasty injury then i'd say we'd struggle.

johnno has a ready made replacement in vaughan, and none of the strikers mentioned have outright pace like those two do.

vaughan and cahill would be a front two pairing id be interested to run the rule over.

i would like to see AJ & vaughan given a good run together (8/10 games).
thought they had lots of potential when they played together last season.

would not be too disapointed if we didnt get striker, as other areas more needy

Lucas has been given a squad number for this year, doubt we will see much of him though.

For the record, I agree with Suits' post on the strikers. Its not a priority and might stunt the potential of Vaughan (who I reckon will really make an impact next year) and Anichebe - who could be alright.

cahill dont count hes a midfielder but yep we have a few
faddy will prob move on soon i would if i was him specialy if everton buy more strikers unless he becomes a left sided midfielder but then again wouldnt be good enough so again will move on soon
if i was beattie and everton bought smith i would ask for a move because i couldnt see myself getting a game but if we bought nugent i would stay because im better.
thats my everton team down to aj vaughan starting and anichebe as sub so would be looking to sign smith
