Lincoln 10k

[Welton Toffee]

As mentioned in another thread, I ran the Lincoln 10k road race today. We did it in just under an hour which is good considering we had that boat thing to push round We were running for St. Francis Special School where my Mum is a teacher. We raised money so that some of the kids can go on a tall ship challenge in the summer

This photo was taken after we'd finished inside the castle. I'm on the far left, my Dad is the other bloke wearing a medal. The top of the 'world famous' Cathedral is in the background. Also, note the Everton badge on my top strategically placed on the steering wheel

Great photo Dave, well done mate, hope you raised loads for a worthy cause, considering you ran 10k, you dont look out of breath, you sure you wasn't steering the boat ?

hehe, thanks Latch. That was taken about half an hour after we'd finished so I'd consumed muchos water and Mars bars by then

Dunno exactly how much we raised yet, will find out tomorrow. Should be a decent amount though. Mick, far right on the pic, went round nice and slow and he got quite a bit. One woman even went into her house to get some money and Mick had to wait

Got some good publicity as well. We were mentioned on the radio and interviewed for the Lincolnshire Echo
