Liverpool Losing To Wolves

6th is the highest I think we could obtain realistically. Tottenham are too good to fall below that mark despite their inconsistent nature and questionable defending. Chelsea are mediocre right now, but they will spend and remain thereabouts.

Beyond that, I don't think there is much between the midtable teams, or even them and the current relegation area battlers. Get a run on like last season, and I think we will pinch a possible Europe spot.

If one article in the Echo summed up their attitude to both clubs it's that.

We're currently ahead of Liverpool just on GD, but whereas the position is not good enough for Liverpool and it's time for everything to change at Anfield, it's acceptable for us to be stumbling along from game to game (and now season to season).

I'm not calling for Moyes head by pointing that out, btw, just highlighting - if it needed to be - the different status the local media give to Everton and Liverpool. Never in a million years would that rag ever question whether Kenwright and co. were slowly killing Everton Fc in the way they did with H&G. Never ever.

Good. Let them crush under the weight of expectation.

Well 7th is probably a Europa league spot, so I'd say it's a bit better.

8th - 17th is all the same to me though; complete failure.

Aye, but it's not a disaster. 14th would be a disaster. At least with top 8 we look like a club on the up, consistently pushing the big boys, even if we aren't.

I predicted 8th before the season began and I'd definitely take that as we stand. United, Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, Spurs are all better than us by some distance, so 6th would be the equivalent to a league win for me.

Sad I know, but realistic.

We're on course for our first sub 60 point season for 5 seasons. I reckon the gap between us and the top 6 (nevermind top four with their CL places) is going to be a chasm. It'll be totally dispiriting, IMO.

Same reason that Sports Direct in Liverpool One has a wall of RS memorabilia, but not 1 Everton shirt in store.....

Verified that is.

I won't go in there for that very reason. Annoying 'cos they do a nice line in cheap astro turf boots if I remember and mine are falling apart. I digress...ha fu**in ha KWOIC!!

Walking round the shopping area, and all i saw were kids and parents with all sorts of EFC stuff on, jumpers, hats all sorts.

Not one Liverpool shirt.

It felt good.

More to do with the Kitbag deal in fairness, they went to the monopolies commision or somewhere when we were with JJB, to force them and Umbro to give them our gear to sell, they did and then dropped the3 prices in our shop so that Ashley ended up with our gear that he couldn't shift, he had about a weeks grace to shift it before they had their sale.

Far worse is that JJB were doing our marketing yet didn't stock our gear in about 98% of their stores....... with 'shabby rags' in every outlet and even in the window.

LFC fans have an incredible sense of entitlement. I hope they get Rafael back, they won't know who to blame then.

Is anyone listening to this Radio Merseyside Liverpool in Crisis phone in?

FFS, they've got this feller Hooton on - he of The Farm 'fame'. Talk about a hanging jury that feller's looking to get off the ground.

Aren't these supposed to be 'loyal' or something?

Hooton just now - Benitez 'only had one bad season'.

[Poor language removed] singer and [Poor language removed] pundit. Of course, he's gegged in on that Spirit of Shankly Shitehawk Society since hanging his microphone up. Agenda's all over the shop.
