Player Valuation: £35m
Here we go!

Ljungberg has 1 semi good season in an inferior league and now he is looking for big teams in Europe..

My question for those who give a damn is: Should the MLS use the Designated player money to bring in talent from all across the Americas.. Young Talent, say from Argentina, Brazil, Chile. Mexico, Canada ect.
I think to improve the quality of our league we need to bring in skillfull youth players... Not older players looking for a nice retirement job/home..

Don Garber thinks that the MLS image is more important than the quality of play.. Thoughts?

Initially thought the MLS had had enough of the pansy waste of space, but it seems he has grand ideas. Good riddance to a bad mercenary who tried to get the last laugh on Wenger and failed spectacularly only succeeding in milking West ham when they really didnt need to be paying out so heavily on such a crocked, past it, waste of skin.

MLS should use some money to expand their academies and re-instate the reserve league. Other than that, I really don't have an issue with how they're running the league. They're drawing talent from Central America, I think that's a very natural source of players for the league. The DP players create some buzz, and it's not like it was before when 37-38 year olds were coming over for one last payday. They're starting to get DPs with some tread left on the tires (Angel, Beckham, Ljungberg etc).

As a Seattle fan, we all knew this would happen with the way he played, (he was MUCH better than the Beckham experiment). And it would only be a loan deal as he is still under contract for this coming season (with a player option in 2011). He's healthy now after finally getting proper surgery/treatment for his chronic hip problem too. The guy has got a bit left in the tank actually. I think he'll probably go on loan for the first part of the MLS season and be back for this season at least.

At any rate, he has repeatedly said that he would honor his two years on his contract no matter what... but we'll see.

Next.

Isn't it a loan? I thought he was making about 25-30K US week and WH was picking up the rest.

He might be able to play in Europe, just in a slower league like Italy. His legs are shot.

WH paid him off and released him, he signed with Seattle a few months later for a lil over $1.3million a year.

His legs aren't shot anymore, he finally got proper surgery for his hip, he's still quick, but perhaps can't run the full 90 like he used to. You should have seen him vs. Chelsea when they came to Seattle for a friendly. He was causing havoc in the middle for Terry and company. Granted, Chelsea were just getting back into shape and Seattle was in mid-season.

He almost got Cech on this freekick too, damn I wish we would have got a goal:

As a Sounders supporter, I liked how he looked in his first season here. My only complaint was that he complained to the refs way too often.
