Player Valuation: £5m
Any thoughts on our current batch of loanees? It seems that they are mostly sadly stuttering and failing to convince their respective clubs to actually use them. Is it worth having players on loan who don't actually play. Branthwaite has been dropped and can't get back in to a Blackburn side that are still leaking goals. Gordon is a regular bench warmer at Preston but struggling to be a first team regular. Baningime doesn't get a look-in from his old team-mate Rooney at Derby. On the plus side Connelly is a regular in a decent league One side and Pennington is a regular starter at Shrewsbury, also League One. Might be a case of players finding the right level, and the Championship is too much for most of our youngsters. On the plus side Dowell seems to have a fought his way back in to a very competitive Norwich side and although he has joined them permanently it's nice to see a player managing to make his way in the game after leaving the Toffees, plenty don't and end up in non-league.

You forgot about Ellis Simms. 5 goals in 15 games at blackpool and getting better all the time

Branthwaite is the one I've got highest hopes for. Potentially affected by the run in with warnock earlier in the season. Might need to go on loan next season too. But should all help his learning.

name a younger player from any other club in the premiere league that is currently on loan to a lower league club and smashing it?

I can't think of a single one.

If we get Europe next season I would keep Gibson, Gordon and Simms as squad players as there is 12 bench places. Branthwaite would be sent out on loan for the first 6 months and see where it goes. Connolly, Pennington, Adeniran, Bolasie and Walcott all out of contract so will be released. Kenny, Tosun, Markelo and Baningime all coming back with a year left I would try and sell them as none have a future here. If they can't be sold loaned out so at least we get rid of some of their wages. Kean I would sell to the highest bidder whilst his stock is still high.

There’s already a thread that covers this “ Young Everton players out on loan” . It’s updated with comments from someone virtually every time they play.
