Hi Blues,

My name is Stephen Townsend.

Been reading this forum bemusedly for the past season and thought it was about time i joined the hilarity and speculation.

Been an everton fan since my dad failed to make me a liverpool fan in 1994. Took me to see Liverpool v Ipswich at Anfield and the whole time i threw midget gems on the pitch and shouted IPSWICH as loud as my little lungs would allow. Next day Saw Everton play, we won and that was that.

Spent a lot of summers as a child staying at my Grandma's house in Everton going to Umbro Cup and such. She was a 50 year blue but sadly passed away. She is actually scattered on Goodison Park and I remember when the plaque was unveiled I was allowed on the pitch with my family to see it and Nick Barmby shook my hand said she was a lovely lady. Pretty surreal.

Went to Reading, Palace and Chelsea (I am in the avatar pic in the blue everton winter hat) and Arsenal (through friends and luck) away last season but kind of impossible to get tickets with one away credit.

I am off to Milton Keynes next week on my tod so if anyone is going from London and would be happy for me to tag along i would really appreciate that.

Love to meet some fellow London blues. Excited about the coming season. We're gonna win the league!

Welcome mate, nice introduction, thank you.

I'm another London based blue, living in Chelsea - look forward to hearing more from you. Sadly not here for the MK match.

Hi mate, I'm a Kent based Blue but a member of ESCLA since god knows when. Not quite the force of old due to the change in Everton's ticketing policy for away games, the cost of travel and range of kick off times but still a great travel club for Everton fans. If you are not a member, it is worth checking out their new look website.

Having read the ESCLA site, do you get the opportunity to buy match tickets as well as pay for travel or is the idea that you buy your match ticket and then commit to the travel? Buying the match ticket is the hardest part haha. Thanks
