I've seen him in the Main Stand, I dont mean the box, the regular punters areas, buys ticket himself from the box office.
Almost seems like a forgotten man who needed help but didnt get it.

I'm not even pro-Benitez. At all. By any stretch of the imagination..

And yet.. because I've questioned the loyalty of a player who, for all intents and purposes, has effectively given up on the club because he disagrees with how the manager is deploying him, then apparently I'm talking 'garbage' because it goes against this narrative that said manager is serial liar.. or something.

I don't blame Lucas at all here...
Yes we may have took him from being a bit part player at Barca, rewarded him financially and made him first choice at a premier league side but what else have we done for him?
He's a french international, no real attachment to the club...
We've never really played to his strengths,

I as a fan of 25+years currently feel apathetic to the club, so why would we expect him to?

And to confound all that we have a managerial dinosaur who wants him to curb the things he's good at....I fully suspect this is similar to moyes telling Rio and vidic to be more like jagielka

I'm not the guy's biggest fan myself like and I know we've largely been crap so far, but he's barely been here long enough to get his feet under the table.

I said at the beginning that, barring an absolute disaster of genuine relegation proportions, then he should be given the season. We aren't getting relegated.
