Everton youngster Lukas Jutkiewicz has joined Championship club Plymouth on loan until the end of the season.
The teenager, signed from Swindon for an undisclosed fee in June 2007, has moved to Home Park for the rest of the season and immediately goes into their squad for the New Year's Day encounter at Cardiff City.
Jutkiewicz is a familiar face for Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock, who was in charge at Swindon when the deal was agreed to bring Jutkiewicz to Goodison.
The 18-year-old has been a regular figure in the Blues' reserve squad this term, netting four goals from nine starts.
He is highly-rated by The Toffees and it is hoped his loan move to Plymouth will enhance his development.
The Pilgrims are currently sixth in the Championship table, occupying a play-off spot.
Jutkiewicz joins a side with a number of Everton connections - with Nick Chadwick amongst the playing staff and former Everton Chief Executive Michael Dunford occupying the same position at Home Park.
Sturrock said: “He is a fantastic prospect and I am delighted he is joining us.
“I know him from my time at Swindon and I know what he is all about.
“He is a different type of striker than we have at the club at the moment, and I believe he will fit quickly into what we are doing down here.”
