Another £30k of the books. With Schneiderlin, Niasse, Martina and Stek off we are hitting the £250k p/w cleared pfc wage bill.

And that’s the crux of it, there was much fuss at the time as we thought we were about to lose him on a free transfer as his contract had run down. Big mistake for him and us, I remember watching a televised game of him playing for Fulham not too long after and he was appalling , not just in his play but his whole attitude , just jogging back not even assed to make an effort at times. He was now secure for life. Sad really in a way.
