Players like that ending up at Stoke is basically the death rattle for their career. Bojan, Berahino, Arnautovic, Shaqiri, Muniesa, were all promising players who were fairly hyped at one point, look how they've flatlined since going there. That Martins Indi too.

After the first however many games I thought Stekelenberg had impressed and could've been a cheap answer for the short term- but the second goal wasn't great at all, let down by the wall but reactions almost slow-mo.

I think he has real issues with shots low and near him. Amongst other issues!

What a crazy career arc that guy has had. Over 100 games for Barca. It's like the opposite a career is supposed to go. In reverse:

Mainz, Stoke, Ajax, Milan, Roma, Barca...that looks like a proper career.

Maybe its that cod eye of his, when the ball comes at that trajectory his vision goes into 2d mode...Seriously though for a big tall guy he isn't great at collecting crosses.

It happens though in the role he plays, its the mistakes after want caused the problems.
