Random I know...

I've got a ticket sat in Main Stand - MS1 - row X and it says it's obstructed.

Just wondering for those of you that know the main stand well, how obstructed is it?

I can see a pilar in the pictures online in around the same area but can't work out how far back it is in terms of rows.

I've sat behind one before at Goodison but was a few rows back so could work around it.

Just wondering how badly obstructed it is..

Thanks in advance

COYB!!

I think nearly every seat in the main stand / top balcony are obstructed in one way or the other by definition.

I think the club defines an obstructed view as when the post / pilar etc is literally in between the goal posts as you look at one or both goals.

Thanks for this, I sat at the both of the Gwladys Street once and when I stood up I could only see half the pitch.

I'm sat as far to the left - Gwladys Street End - as I can be.

Just wondering if any season ticket holders know which row the pillars are in and how bad they block the view...

Yes, I sat on the back row of the Upper Gwladys and when I stood up I couldn't see the Park End Goal..!!.

up in the Goodison rafters..

last thing you want is to get the seat right in front of the pillar.

Cant believe the club actually sell that ticket for money.

This; not all obstructions are the same, and I don't know how you can get a proper sense of it apart from sitting in the seat.

I spent ages last year working out a decent seat in the Upper Bullens for the Stevenage League cup game only to find my view of Gerry's goal obscured by a post. I saw the ball hit the back of the net, but didn't see the actual shot.

Any idea of what row you were in?

FWIW, sat in TB2 L 077 and the obstruction was in the middle of the pitch. A little annoying sometimes, but clear views of each end. Dunno if this will help you; not sure how relevant this will be to row X.

Sorry to post the obvious. but i may be possible to work it out from these. @bluegirl

I'd say the far right post may be be in your eyeline when looking at the Park End goal if the seat is classified as obstructed.

Sat obstructed in Main Stand and Top Balc numerous times, it's been totally fine 95% of the time, just a pillar in the distance slightly obstructing a the goal but its far away that you have plenty of time and space to adjust.

That's what I'm hoping, have you ever sat in row X?
