My login for my hotmail email account wouldn't work.

Any chance it had been hacked?

Luckily I had an alternative email account set up to it so I could reset the password and gain access.

Time to get a firewall and start changing all online banking passwords....

I got it, its again asking me permission to scratch my arse.

Any firewall worth its salt should be asking you questions about permissions. The key is to check the box that says 'Remember this action' For a couple of days you will click allow, but when everything is sorted, it will be sorted (y)

Thing is though Dylan, what do I do if I dont recognise what its asking permission for? and it cant find it in the lookup.

Example then, I was upgrading and it prompted me about 15 times whether to accept a files access, had no idea whether it was comodo or something bad

I just keep clicking accept

So, click what I have highlighted in the pic if you don't know what a file is. Then it shows you the host program that is running the file.

strange dylan my bank account has just increased dramatically and i just got an email confirming trans atlantic flights, you on earlies or lates next week. ?
and lisa already preganant so no need to get any protection.:D

lets not pretend anyone would expect anything else from me:D
is sod a word used over the pond as in st helens everyone is a sod of some sort yet 6 miles away in leigh it's like the biggest insult ever. which when i was a kid meant i got into loads of trouble as my family on my mums side are all from sintellins and we moved to near leigh. people were forever knocking to complain about my "language".
i still make the mistake when working in leigh, particularly with old people when i refer to "sod's law" their faces get a look of horror like i have just called them an "effin c" i have to quickly apologise before they come at me brandishing a walking stick.
the other thing about leigh which you may be familiar with from oldham is that all the old people who used to work in the mills speak with pronounced lip movements, they had to do it for years at work as the noise of the machinery meant they had to lipread each other, bus journeys as a kid were hilarious as they mouthed conversations the length of the bus, all chatting away in total silence. abit like the 2 old women that les dawson and alec gillroy off corry used to do
