Manager Transfer Window

I believe that this should be brought in.

If you have a manager in place at the end of the transfer window you should not be able to have him replaced until the next window. You can sack him at any point but not replace them.

This I believe, would stop all the random sackings after 8 games and the like. The board chooses a man for the job and has to put up or shut up for during closed windows, same as a manager does with the player he signs.

Big money men have to take this into account when buying clubs(that the manager can't be replaced yet), it will stop managers getting poached the day before a game, it will give clubs stability, it will allow for a "bad start" and give time to rectify it.

It may be too late in the day to cap wages and tranfer fee's etc, but this would be a good start in my opinion.

Fair comment. Portsmouth must be feelin let down by Spurs taking Redknapp the day before a game. I'm not Redknapps biggest fan and dont care where he goes but from a Portsmouth point of view this is crap.

Would you want a manager whos heart wasnt in it and had already agreed to join another club in the window. Nice idea and i agree i feel sorry for Portsmouth, but they made a nice little 5m out of it.

Its an intresting thought, but like most things you cant see turkeys voteing for christmas, the clubs will want to protect themselves.

While i would think the EU would have a problem with it on thebais that is restricts mvement of labour. How did the player transfer window actually get by EU law!

It brings the loyalty question back though .Fans are expected to stay loyal(we do)carry on going no matter how poor we are (most of us do)and back the manager and trust him.Ok I know that all managers get stick. But I feel for the Pompey fans in their eyes he [Poor language removed] on them by going to the saints and when he came back they welcomed him he turned down that massive club Newcastle:lol::lol:Saying that Pompey would be his last job ,but as soon as an offer from a bigger club that allows him to stay at his home with out the need for a helicopter its bye bye I know they got £5 million but the fans bought their season tickets expecting him to be manager ,would the likes of Defoe gone there if he thought Harry would leave so soon ? I doubt it so he has let the players down as well he really is a cockney spiv :@

I think it's a poor idea, if a club is stupid enough to keep sacking managers without giving them a chance to settle or hiring managers who aren't up to the job they should be allowed to replace them as often as they want.

It usually costs a club a fortune to buy out someones contract & then another fortune to bring a replacement in (if they're from another club who are owed compensation), if they keep changing the manager it keeps costing them a load of money & so they should be allowed to waste it if they want

If a manager knew he was going to be sacked for whatever reason but the club had to wait until a specific date to sack him, most people wouldn't put half the effort in & that would be no good for anyone
