Finally a reasonable post by someone.

Wouldnt say we dominated but we matched them and with a bit of luck could have won. We at least deserved a draw.

We didn't match them anywhere on the pitch.

And we would need an awful lot of luck to win with one shot on target.

I detect some people are actually defending this performance. I mean really?? Who cares if this Man U team cost 250 million. All they've done is over pay for average players. We were crap today. Shocking even. Couldn't string two passes together. Long aimless balls. Alot of our players can only perform in open games when there's space. If that space is denied we are utterly useless. Its pathetic that there's been no improvement in that area in 2 years.

He is gone whether or not he wins the Cup IMO.

Better yet, things go tits up and Watford and Palace next two games, it is madness even keeping him on until the semi final.

I have had enough, mate.

This is how Wigan used to be....play well until they concede then Titus sodding Bramble was all over the place.

We were doing okay there today.

We were the best team.

Bobby cannot be faulted for an experienced international player making a schoolboy error.

It is the reaction afterwards which is ringing the alarm bells.

There is no sustained charge forward in search of a goal.

We just go to pieces.

It happened when Hammers scored their first...it happened when Arsenal scored.

Happened again today.....a couple of Jags efforts notwithstanding.

That is a feeble mindset and it is coming from the top down.

End it now, Mo.

0-0 at half time and the manager should have revved them up big time as Manure were there for the taking.
LVG had realised that both Geri and Lennon were capable of ripping Rojo a new rear end and he made the change.
El Bob did nowt, obviously said "more of the same" and that was our downfall.
Rom fluffed his audition largely due to a lack of service and the first touch of a JCB.
No collective pressing in midfield and at this level, that means you lose.
No noticeable desire.
They're all in semi-final mode.
We must now go balls out for a complete change of manager and coaching staff.

For all the Martinez bashing that goes on here atm (rightly), I´d would like to warn against the wave of Moyes-nostalgia that has emerged here recently. Moyes Evertons were terrible in away games against the best teams. Just look at our record at the Emirates and Old Trafford under our previous manager - it´s horrendous. If anything, this was a very Moyes-esque performance.

I'm sorry but this argument that Martinez can't be faulted for mistakes from defenders has got to stop. It makes sense on a small scale; when the errors are isolated and infrequent.
We are looking at a defense that has 3 English internationals, 1 Argentine and 1 Irish that continue to make the same mistakes match after match. 3 of these 5 are players that were part of some of most solid defenses we have had. While they would obviously make the odd-mistake in years past, it is not a coincidence that those mistakes have become the norm under Martinez. His defenses have no shape or organization, this freedom his tactics afford our defenders is one root cause of this mistake; others being lack of fitness, desire and mental strength. These are all skills that must be trained constantly and are obviously not under RM.
Please, keep making the same arguments to defend him, just know that you are dead wrong. He has not and will not learn how to manage a successful premier league club and needs to go now.

Joke of a manager. What were those subs about? Niasse looked like he was wearing divers boots when he finally came on.

"Everton manager Roberto Martinez speaking to BBC Sport: "There were two games within a game. Up until the goal, we were the team with a better tempo and we always looked a threat.

"The goal was a very soft action, it's not up to our standards. The performances were very, very level and we shouldn't have lost the game. It's that sort of game that came down to small margins - the ball hitting the crossbar is the difference between us getting something out of the game.

"We are a young group with great potential, but our home form hasn't been anywhere near good enough.""

Almost none of that makes any sense at all.

......it sounds like a ramble, it sounds like he just doesn't know what to say, it sounds like he's not in control.

Self entitled posts like that make you come across as a self entiled NEW breed of 'fan'.

Embarassing.
Where does all this 'entitled" crap come from? i've supported EFC for55 years and I can assure you i do NOT have any feeling of "being entitled" to anything. I do worry that our motto has been dropped like a stone (not just under Martinez I may add) and having to put up with the dross served up this and last season is just annoying. Lost more games than won and don't imo look like winning again anytime soon Sorry but if thats embarrassing to you then I just despair
