The result was 2-2. West Brom came to us with attacking intent and walked all over us. Wolves, West Ham, Bolton, Villa and Fulham have shown that if you take the game to United, they're vulnerable. Blackpool and Birmingham have given them a game too.

At Old Trafford? Bollocks have they. They're a different team at home, man. We do alright against them at Goodison, ourselves.

This was a game where we could have used Peanuts. And obviously Arteta. And Saha... And Fels ...

We just don't have enough depth to beat these guys w/ loads of injuries.

Moyes played the right tactics and we are currently strongest in the back.

With that, Rodders came within a c--t hair of winning it for us (or maybe getting the draw)

just got beat by a better team today, cahill/ coleman didnt look fit , billy disgrace other than that we didnt see anything we didnt know were lightweight up front, beckford isnt an holdup forward so i cant see him ever doing it on his own.
thought jags had a good game and on a plus side we defended quite well, considering we couldn't keep the ball in midfield

doesn't win em because he never jumps for em mate.

fair point though. he likes a ball to run on to and if they're gonna play him should give him the kind of service he can prosper from.

i do think he's been learning his prem trade this season and will improve next.. not that that's much solace for me today.

agree with him not jumping, i wasn't having a dig at beckford it was more the way our tactics never seem to play to peoples strentghs. if we had a 7ft slow coach playing upfront we would probably play on the ground.

Right, at Old Trafford, Rangers got a draw, Liverpool scored twice, West Brom got a 2-2 draw, Wolves scored twice in the league cup, Wolves lost by the odd goal in three in the league, Valencia managed a draw, Stoke and Liverpool only lost by the odd goal, City and Crawley the same, Marseille and Bolton ditto, add Chelsea to that too. If you go to OT with a negative attitude, as Blackburn and Birmingham have done, you're going to get beat. We're a better side that West Brom and Wolves who have pushed them all the way when United have had a full side out. We could have got at them much more.

i agree we could of yes but also we had our creative players out

Here's the worst of it: we had nothing to lose so could have cut loose a bit and been adventurous; they looked like a team very nervy (as they were against Newcastle) about wrapping up the title with tough games to come. The game should have been approached as an opportunity, not an ordeal we had to see out for 90 minutes.

I don't think it's personnel, I think it's tactics. As I said earlier, we were beaten by them 3-0 last season when we had a full strength team. We sit too deep and we've got no outlet on the break. We need to play higher up the pitch and show more ambition.

Fellaini would have been more of a destroyer, he wouldn't have been starting moves off. Arteta has been poor all season. If we'd played him on the left he might have ran at Fabio, but he hasn't got lightening pace and United would have probably got back to close him down quite quickly. We could have tried something completely different and put Neville at left full back and moved Baines to left midfield. If he was getting at Fabio, then Valencia would have had to get back to help out rather than constantly attacking. That's why I wish Moyes would think a little more creatively sometimes.

all season? obviously not hes been coming on form for a good few games now, i bet your the type of person that forgets what hes done in the past and how he has played in the past and has his worst ever season here and would like to see him go, also felli does start moves he actually brings the ball on the floor alot simple passin out wide or inside thats startin somethin off isnt it?

Hardly seen a good forward pass from Rodwell or Neville all game, even when they had players in front of them running into good positions.
