Former Argentina boss Diego Maradona is eyeing a return to management in the Premier League with Aston Villa.
The 49-year-old is in negotiations with several clubs over a possible move to Europe, according to his European representative Walter Soriano.
The controversial former Napoli ace left his post as Argentina

England will forever remember Maradona

for his 'Hand of God' goal against the Three Lions at the 1986 tournament, but Soriano says his client would welcome an approach from Villa owner Randy Lerner following manager Martin O'Neill's

departure earlier this week.
"I think Diego would be very open to the idea of coming to England and managing Aston Villa,

" Soriano told the Sunday Mercury.
"He is very attracted to English football and the way of life in your country and I know he would be very willing to move there.
"He loves the English countryside and your respect for privacy, so he would be very happy there, especially at a big club like Aston Villa.
Offer

"If the owner Randy Lerner wants to make him a serious offer, I am sure he would get a very positive response.
"Diego is currently talking with a number of clubs in Europe - including another one in England - about a management role and is looking at his options carefully."
Lerner is on the hunt for a new permanent boss at Villa Park after O'Neill left the club just days before the new Premier League season got underway.

 at the bolded part.......loves the respect for privacy!!!! Has he EVER been to the UK??? Its gonna be hilarious if he got that job!

Haha exactly, I love a good public meltdown....

I wonder if he's seen the UK street prices recently...'God' 'nose' how he will 'handle' it....

*bows*

F--k. I'd buy his blow if he came to Villa, the only thing better would be if he took the helm of NUFC for the RS.

if you have that kind of money lying around how bout chipping in to bk's transfer kitty?

Sure Donovan would be nice but watching Mardona blow an artery and gush blood everywhere on the sidelines coaching the RS/Villa/NUFC would be even more enertaining.
