He doesn't even change system with his subs. Just simply personnel.

He's like a rubbish version of Sarri. So far entrenched in his own unrealistic utopian views to actually see what's happening on the pitch. I think he pre- plans subs too. Inflexible, uninspiring, tosh with some Sunday morning league marking thrown in the mix.
I'm with you on the marking. But look at who is defending the near post space for the Jiminez goal and the effort they put in.
Coleman. Everyone stamped their electronic feet on here demanding he be made captain. Richarlison, the young lad who looked disinterested in every set piece.
There needs some bigger personalities in the dressing room, and I don't mean more lads who dance and throw snow at each other.

Because someone at the club would have to be brave enough to admit that we have a £45m white elephant that four successive managers have wrongly tried to accomodate.

There are three players that this club have essentially collapsed the spine with - Pickford, Siggurdson, Keane. Over £100m worth of bottlers.

An injury to Gylfi would be a blessing

If you can't organise a defence, or get the team playing at pace, then you are doomed in this league even if you are otherwise trying to play attractive, intelligent football.

That's just the nature of the premier league. If Silva can do that he deserves more time. The evidence at the moment isn't that encouraging, because nothing has changed in spite of the obvious deficiencies.

I'm afraid I completely blame the coaching staff for the set pieces. They clearly don't practice enough or are incompetent in that area. The players look so confused.

The fact we had small players marking Jimenez at the front post shows the complete lack of organisation. Any opposition manager with half a brain will analyse how we defend and just stick tall players into the areas we have small players. It's shambolic from us. Sack able in its own right you could argue.

Without doubt. But the players have to at least be aggressive to win the ball and watch what's happening around them. It's taught as an 11 year old.

It's awful to think it, but anything that would take him, Keane and Pickford out of the side would ultimately at least move us along this "transition" season. Genuinely loathe all three as Everton players.

He should get the summer transfer window to continue to clear out the trash and bring in more of who he wants. But aside from a striker what is clear is that there are no leaders in the team. They're all fanny's. I thought Coleman as captain would bring something but it hasn't and unfortunately the injury seems to have done Coleman's game. So Marco had better have a midfield general lined up and a centre half who can organize a defense

NO

This is what the DoF should get not the manager.

Never mind zonal marking, never mind 4321 or 433 or even 424, this system, that system. I’ve said it last week, most of our players are not fit enough, they’re not strong enough, and they’re poorly organised. All the nonsense I read on here about “well we’ve got a much better squad than X, Y, Z”. Well we haven’t. Just because you pay a ridiculous fee for someone doesn’t make them a top player. The way to measure this is to ask yourself which of our players would replace their counterpart in a top 6 team? Digne? Maybe Pickford? Maybe Gomes? The rest are so bang average it’s embarrassing.

Bringing in new players won’t change the way of his crap defending. He bought in Zouma, Digne and Mina.

He is under achieving with this team, Imagine the players he would need to sign to be able to break the top 6? I want a manager who can get the best out of players meaning we wont need to sign superstars to break the top 6....

The top 5/ are light years ahead of us. and maybe 6th right now we are playing. Catch up, we need better players we need leaders and we need a striker this is a must in the summer

How do you build anything with that outlook? If everytime the season is over, you collapse the project and start again then your advocating a new manager every year.

We are Everton. Those above us in the top 6 have spent much more for years so are in the position of strength.

It's madness to just keep saying start again I'd the right answer.

OK lets look at them above us

Man City - 2005 Stuart Pearce, 2007 Sven-Goran Eriksson, 2008 Mark Huges, 2009 Roberto Mancini, Manuel Pellegrini 2013 and now 2016 Pep Guardiola.(3 of the previous 5 managers lasted 1-2 years)

Liverpool - 2004 Rafael Benitez, 2010 Roy Hodgson, 2011 Kenny Dalgleish, 2012 Brendan Rodgers and now 2015 Jurgen Klopp. (4 managers in 4 years before finding Klopp, 2 of the previous 5 managers lasted 1 year or less.)

Spurs - 2007 Juande Ramos, 2008 Harry Redknapp, 2012 Andre Villas-Boas, 2013 Tim Sherwood and now 2014 Mauricio Pochettino (3 managers in 3 years before finding Poch, 3 of the last 5 managers lasted a year or less.)

Arsenal - 1996 Arsene Wenger, 2018 Unai Emery.

Man Utd - 1986 Ferguson, 2013 Moyes, 2014 Giggs, 2014 Van Gaal, 2016 Mourinho, 2018 Solskjaer since Ferguson no manager has lasted more than 2 years!

12 of the 24 managers listed above didn`t manage 2 years at the top 6 clubs, purely for the reason they didn`t get results. 6 are still employed which means of the 24 listed above exluding the ones employed only 6 lasted more than 2 years!!!!

It looks like they were in the business of `collapsing the project` when it wasn`t working! How did they come out of that? We`ve given Koeman, Martinez and Silva more time than they need, where are we?

What rubbish, Silva is proving he isnt up to it, worse record that BFS despite having Mina, Digne, Zouma, Richarlison, Gomes etc. Why take the risk of him leaving in January with us in the bottom 3? Why are we selling this project, we should be saying to any manager `you got to get results from day 1 and continue to get results`. Giving managers time where they feel they can lose as many as they want is not a way forward.

Christ I wonder about the mentality of fans to keep continuously give failing people more time than they deserve, perhaps this is why we are where we are!
No, we are where we are because of bad decisions by the board! Is Silva another mistake? Quite possibly but getting rid after 6/7 months doesn’t give you the answer does it?
What good manger in the right mind would see us as a good career move with the board saying to them, you must hit the ground running from day one or you’re gone after 6 months!!

Martinez 3 years correct decision to get rid
Koeman 18 months correct decision to get rid
Allardyce should never of happened end of!!
Silva 7 months in with duds floating about the squad from the previous 3..

I never wanted Silva in the first place, but il give him time to prove himself.
