How do you build anything with that outlook? If everytime the season is over, you collapse the project and start again then your advocating a new manager every year.
We are Everton. Those above us in the top 6 have spent much more for years so are in the position of strength.
It's madness to just keep saying start again I'd the right answer.
OK lets look at them above us
Man City - 2005 Stuart Pearce, 2007 Sven-Goran Eriksson, 2008 Mark Huges, 2009 Roberto Mancini, Manuel Pellegrini 2013 and now 2016 Pep Guardiola.(3 of the previous 5 managers lasted 1-2 years)
Liverpool - 2004 Rafael Benitez, 2010 Roy Hodgson, 2011 Kenny Dalgleish, 2012 Brendan Rodgers and now 2015 Jurgen Klopp. (4 managers in 4 years before finding Klopp, 2 of the previous 5 managers lasted 1 year or less.)
Spurs - 2007 Juande Ramos, 2008 Harry Redknapp, 2012 Andre Villas-Boas, 2013 Tim Sherwood and now 2014 Mauricio Pochettino (3 managers in 3 years before finding Poch, 3 of the last 5 managers lasted a year or less.)
Arsenal - 1996 Arsene Wenger, 2018 Unai Emery.
Man Utd - 1986 Ferguson, 2013 Moyes, 2014 Giggs, 2014 Van Gaal, 2016 Mourinho, 2018 Solskjaer since Ferguson no manager has lasted more than 2 years!
12 of the 24 managers listed above didn`t manage 2 years at the top 6 clubs, purely for the reason they didn`t get results. 6 are still employed which means of the 24 listed above exluding the ones employed only 6 lasted more than 2 years!!!!
It looks like they were in the business of `collapsing the project` when it wasn`t working! How did they come out of that? We`ve given Koeman, Martinez and Silva more time than they need, where are we?
