There's always an excuse.

We have a DoF. His sole task is to line up players for two transfer windows, in and out...and he incredibly makes a statement saying that one of the two transfer windows that come around every season is not one he likes to act in.

Unbelievable.
First of all, you just don't like the D of F role. It's SOOOOO obvious. The transfer window hasn't even opened.

Second of all, that is not his sole task. Because, once again, you don't understand the role. That's an important part of the role, but not the sole task.

Third of all, name a CF that would improve the team that's available. You want to judge Brands, fine. You think we need a CF, that it's inexcusable that we haven't gotten one, fine. Name one. My guess is that you can't.

To me, the position we upgrade is almost irrelevant. We need to upgrade like 5-6 positions. I don't care which one we upgrade in January. This is going to take 4-5 windows.

Sound, say we bin him off and pay another *x*million quid to pay his contract up. Then we jump back on the managerial merry go round and go through the same process again and again.

I don’t know if Silva’s the answer, he could be a fraud. But I know getting rid of (another) manager who’s only 6 months into his tenure is bordering on negligence and stinks of having no clue/vision of how to run a football club.
There are always two sides of the coin. What if we persist with him like we did with Martinez and waste another 2 years? The damage would be bigger than it is right now and it would take another years to recover.

Should we really be reactive and wait for something that can never happen? There is no proof Silva will be a success in this league and is capable of taking us anywhere else than midtable.

Koeman’s first season was much more hopeful and Silva’s got better players than him.

No one can argue, players at his disposal (majority of which he recruited) aren’t delivering.

If you can beat the utter dross like Brighton, Newcastle, west ham, watford and co, questions need to be asked.

I’m not convinced. Think we should have thrown the kitchen sink at a top top manager.

It's such a difficult job for a top manager to take. We are spending money but it's not enough to bridge that gap. If you're someone who has been there and done it in the game I doubt you'd want to toil away at Everton when you could wait for a ready made club.

Same old noise and excuses.

Spent shed loads and can’t even draw with Brighton Hove Albion ffs.
Chances missed hitting the woodwork blah blah. The modern game is about results, best get used to the idea in 10 years time we'll be a mid table side with a decent stadium..if we're lucky

Will take a long time to fix the damage this man did

What damage exactly is that? Because only 2 of the starting 11 yesterday where signed when he was in charge ( and they both have had solid seasons)

How long we gonna continue to blame koeman and fat Sam for the job Silva is doing?

He's assembled a good squad and he's not getting the best from them and that's down to Silva
