We've got to then hope that he can beat the trend and produce an improvement in his second season rather than following the trend, otherwise it's very worrying.

Personally, I still advocate giving him time as I do not feel chopping and changing is the way forward, but my concerns are starting to grow with every week.

You could argue that our squad has improved fairly substantially and with Brands this should continue, yet performances on the pitch are the bread and butter.

Problem is if we keep him and just survive, we then have to back him in the summer and cross our fingers. Next season could be another write off. The signs are there, it's pointless pretending otherwise.
