Silva's Everton was a much better squad than Pellegrini's West Ham. And Silva, if I'm not wrong (I may be..) spent more money to further strengthen that squad. The very same West Ham who came to Goodison and schooled us all over the park.

Reducing the age of the squad - is a complete irrelavance, About on a par with `how many local lads do we have'.

My mistake, it was actually 6th in 15-16, and 7th in 14-15.

I'm not suggesting Koeman - or Silva - are/were top managers, but Koeman was hired on the back of vastly overachieving with Southampton.
