You need to keep reading my post underneath the one you quoted explained my thoughts.

If I’m honest think negative comments are very reactionary and reinforce a disturbing growth in shorter musk and reactionary approach in mentality among our fan base. Its become the norm and partly why wee we are.

I’d go so far to say, anyone who thought we would progress beyond where we are know was living completely in denial to our actual situation.

But such is.

....i’m convinced we’ve brought better players in, but players aside the team selection and tactics are worthy of challenges. Conceding 6 goals at home is lots to do with the team set-up and it’s perfectly reasonable to highlight such failings.

Some things within his remit are not necessarilly down to making progress.

...the truth is, we’ve scored more league goals than any other team outside the top 6.

And that shows that we also have issues at the back, mate.

But it's fair to say that had we converted the chances we created earlier in the season - i.e. had better strikers, and even in games like Leicester (where we were utter garbage) we'd have a better points total.

Like I said, not using it as an excuse. But the other sides have better striking options than us. We have better players in other areas to some extent.

Silva isn't getting nearly enough out of this side at the moment.

...i’m very concerned about our set-up when the opposition have the football. When you see central defenders as exposed as ours, then something is fundamentally wrong.

Keep seeing posts about us having a couple more points and a few more goals than we had at this point last season, this just says to me that the mediocrity is slightly better, but hey,the manager is better looking.

Stating the obvious really we know the results. I’m not saying there aren’t limits in the team, are they limits of Silva’s creation, no.

Are we progressing yes, are we building yes, are we running the nessecaryanti virus yes.

Building is a process feather then an event you implelement your philosophey first, transition and build performances front there. I’d take our performances this season over the last two years if I’m honest.

So it’s purely blind faith then. I simply don’t see what the progress is when I look at the table and the useless setup in defence. We are supposed to close the gap on the top 6 not mingling with Leicester and West Ham.
Having said that, if he somehow manages to get 7th then good on him and that show he deserves more time to change things.

I would disagree personally. He’s had the opportunity to bring in 6 players. The nature of those deals, two loans a free and a deal with a buy back clause, tells me that we are in a market with finanacial limits on us.

He’s inherited a team that is a mismatch of players signed by Moyes, Martinez, Allardyce, Koeman. He’s inherited a mismatched team from four different managers with different football philosophies. I think he’s working with a limited enough personal, the fact we have almost 17 players out on loan is symptomatic of this. Also the fact some of our highest earners can’t make the march day squad also tells me this.

Are our problems a product of the manager or the environment inherited. I tend to think the latter.

Of course all managers get it wrong, I don’t think he gets it wrong often. But I do think he is working on limits of others creations and probably a team about 30% his preference to implement strategy, tactics and philosophey.

The club holistically needs to take its medicine, the last thing we need is reactionary analysis or change.

Its the most obvious analogy you will ever see in football.
And every other other non-everton supporter in the land would recognise its us straight away.
Carry on burying your head. Alladyce out, Silva In.

The analogy falls flat on its face because we didn’t have the “steady but unexciting wife” to begin with, we had Big Sam who was a terrible, terrible manager and awful person.

It’s analysis I’ve just posted about 7 times about it, read them. All your doing is stating obvious, results, tables, we know. You are thinking short term, we need a long term approach in my opinion mate.

I’ve posted my reasons above! ;)

Never failed wherever he's been and to be honest I'd take Dr Crippen as coach if he won us something.Football is rotten to the core so how awful a person may or may not be is immaterial. Not saying I wanted him to stay, but taking on someone with such a dire win percentage in the Prem was an odd choice.
