...the truth is, we’ve scored more league goals than any other team outside the top 6.

Eggs, that just means we are best of the also rans. Silva does not appear to have any idea what his best strike force is. Either player wise, or tactics wise. We have had 4 different main strikers so far this season. DCL, Tosun, Richarlison, Walcott, and Silva just keeps sharing the load, from game to game, without any obvious plan. There is no consistency, it is like playing with a new player every game. If we don't get a striker before the end of January, it will be a lower mid-table finish this season.

It’s analysis I’ve just posted about 7 times about it, read them. All your doing is stating obvious, results, tables, we know. You are thinking short term, we need a long term approach.

I read this so much when we were in Martinez’s 2nd season. I don’t know what philosophy can be changed when we can’t even do the basic and beat the crap teams at home. I just don’t understand the blind faith of thinking him can take this club forward when the last 2 months was absolutely atrocious. He does not show he can adopt and the team can’t defend ffs. Do you really think we can outscore the opposition everytime and keep conceding?

I have said this many times I don’t expect him to challenge the big boys but to be overtaken by Watford and West Ham after the huge money being spent? Come on. Transition or whatever is not an excuse. Slow sideway build up what has been changed?

Premier League win percentage as Everton manager: Sam Allardyce - 38.5% Marco Silva - 34.78% Premier League position after first 23 games in charge: Sam Allardyce - 8th Marco Silva - 11th Money spent: Sam Allardyce - £40m Marco Silva - £89m

....my concern is he plays Richarlison in the Centre simply to accommodate Bernard on the left.

You need to keep reading my post underneath the one you quoted explained my thoughts.

If I’m honest think negative comments are very reactionary and reinforce a disturbing growth in shorter musk and reactionary approach in mentality among our fan base. Its become the norm and partly why wee we are.

I’d go so far to say, anyone who thought we would progress beyond where we are know was living completely in denial to our actual situation.

But such is.

So you can’t tell me why he’s a good manager.

Nobody can.

We have managed to score goals despite the obvious need for a striker. Surely that is 'a good thing' and not another neg with which to beat the manager. Two of our players lie just under the top six goalscorers which again deserves credi tand one of our players is second to Silva in the chance creating stakes. A successful striker signing should mean that more of the chances created by Bernard, etc. should be taken. In the current circumstances we score quite a few.

You can literally name ONE veteran on the pitch today. Again, poor argument considering the majority on the pitch have been here less than two years.

I don’t think it just comes down to what is happening on the pitch. I think behind the scenes at finch farm there are serious issues. We can go through 4 managers in little over two years and have the exact same issues each time without wondering if there is something else going on

Or maybe we really are just choosing the entirely wrong manager each time.
