With the mix of City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, United coming up soon but with weaker teams in between each of these fixtures I can see it being a very bad period.

Lose against City, will there be a reaction against Cardiff? Probably not. Then lose to Liverpool, Newcastle next... confidence at a massive low. And so on and so on.
Just hope he can get the reaction he got after the Spurs debacle in at least one of them.

I read this so much when we were in Martinez’s 2nd season. I don’t know what philosophy can be changed when we can’t even do the basic and beat the crap teams at home. I just don’t understand the blind faith of thinking him can take this club forward when the last 2 months was absolutely atrocious. He does not show he can adopt and the team can’t defend ffs. Do you really think we can outscore the opposition everytime and keep conceding?

I have said this many times I don’t expect him to challenge the big boys but to be overtaken by Watford and West Ham after the huge money being spent? Come on. Transition or whatever is not an excuse. Slow sideway build up what has been changed?

We clearly have very different opinions mate. I don’t think we will agree.

errr, not one which wins games in the premier league, no.

Do you not think implementing a philosophey are more important then results. I do personally.

I couldn’t be less bothered with league results this seasons do I genuinely mean that. I don’t go out hoping we will loose or anything. But my hope for this season was to take out medicine, implement philosophey, stay up and lay the right foundations and improved the quality of what we produce compared to last season.

thing is we should be improving with each game as the players get to grips with this 'philosophy' you talk of.

all im seeing is players looking bewildered.

I suggest you look at our current form and then our run in to end of the season and get back to me

And I advise you to look at the form of Palace, Newcastle, Cardiff, Brighton, S'ton, Huddersfield and Fulham, and their run ins.

I'd also say have a look at the team's around us.

I am aware we are crap. Fortunately, a lot of other teams are as well.

Why? Because you want to win now.

Those games occurred less then 6 months into the life cycle of this regime the performances and set up illustrates to me we have a manager who can match the best tactically and put together a limited team to be competitive, that I think long term with his own o,Ayers is a decent foundation.

What did you expect this season, I’ve said all along what I expect is boom and bust football. I haven’t been proven wrong, I don’t think any other manager couldn’t have done any different.

All I see in this thread, is peop,e crotising a manger, scapegoating and wanting a quick fix. Exactly where we have been for the past three years and exactly why we are gash.

Rinse and repeat, it’s quite remarkable that people seem to have learned nothing.

People should want to win now. We should always want to win. We should always expect the players to win. But most of us accept we aren't going to always win with this team.

The problem is that the results are well below the level expected and the football has turned to hoofball. We employ managers to find solutions in these situations so it's completely fair people are demanding better. It's Silva's job to turn things around and he has until the early stages of next season to prove he can. The fact that things have been gradually getting much worse at a time when players should be starting to gel, is the reason why doubts are growing.

I hope he sorts us out. I hope he earns the right to stay here a very long time. But I have lots of doubts. A good cup run will help a lot.

I think It is relevant, people keep saying there is progress when there quite clearly isn't, besides surly the point of getting shut of Sam and Koeman was becuase they wernt good enough, not to get another similar level manager

We have more points than this time last year. We have scored more goals. We have conceded less.

That's three progressive things.

Look, we are crap. Silva is proving at the moment to be a poor manager making poor decisions. Do I think he showed enough at the start of the season to prove he isn't a poor manager? Yeh.

Take your point, losing at Arsenal was tempered by the fact we took the game to them and competed.Yesterday wasn't that.I hate us losing but at least if we put in a performance it gives hope for the future.

silva would of been sacked by 99% of other premier league clubs by now.

Moshiri is hoping that this will all be turned round, which is laughable, because he wont want to be losing face yet again.

I'd say more like 30% of teams would have sacked him.

He shouldn't be sacked yet. He needs much more time. But he is massively underperforming and should be feeling the pressure.
