he wasn't good enough to keep hull up, and wasn't good enough for Watford. but he should get at the very least 2 years here

to destroy us.

Not saying he should get 2 years if he's still underperforming.

But he should get more than 6 months and 1.5 transfer windows.

This squad is rotten. It's partly the management, partly the club, and partly the players.

We have more points than this time last year. We have scored more goals. We have conceded less.

That's three progressive things.

Look, we are crap. Silva is proving at the moment to be a poor manager making poor decisions. Do I think he showed enough at the start of the season to prove he isn't a poor manager? Yeh.
While I can see the point your making, that is showing slight progress from Koeman in his last season, or the part of it he got. But what we haven't progressed on is the form of Sam, as horrible as it was seeing him here, were not better now, and we should be.
Koeman in his first season was much better then now, just like all our previous managers have been, for me with this being the worst 23 game start to for an Everton manager in a long time I see that as a sign of going backwards. Most managers up turn form, not make it worse.

I want an everton that wins things, esp premier league games against the likes of Southampton. I don't think I am being a drama queen.

We all do Frank, but football is based in reality not dreams. You dont have a god given right to turn up at teams and expect them to roll over just because of who we are, you have to earn it the hard way with graft and the past month and a half we haven't done that bar Burnley away, first 20 mins against Lincoln and 40 mins last week

Thought we have 34 points at this stage last season.

we must be one of the few teams that spends 100's of millions on players and actually go backwards..

the stats tend to say the more you spend the higher you finish.

seems to be the opposite for us

We had our upturn in form. Heading into that derby we were 6th.

Pickford does what he does and we've collapsed. Ultimately lies at Silva's door but I'm sick of the players. The lot of them, tbh, bar four or five, can be binned for me, when the time is right.

thing is we should be improving with each game as the players get to grips with this 'philosophy' you talk of.

all im seeing is players looking bewildered.

I’d acknowledge we are going through a period of low confidence right now, every team have them, we have limits in the team to imo, I don’t blame Silva for that.

If I look at the season as a whole, I think performances have improved significantly since last season.

This will be a test certainly, to be honest I expected nothing more or less boom and bust football this season tbh, pretty much what we have.

We've spent it incorrectly for the most part because we gave a blank chequebook to a scout and a Dutch lazy arse. Had we had Brands or even the touted Monchi at the time the two summers Koeman and Walsh had, we'd have a more balanced squad of good players on good wages instead of average players like Bolasie, Williams, Martina etc on inflated, draining wages

People should want to win now. We should always want to win. We should always expect the players to win. But most of us accept we aren't going to always win with this team.

The problem is that the results are well below the level expected and the football has turned to hoofball. We employ managers to find solutions in these situations so it's completely fair people are demanding better. It's Silva's job to turn things around and he has until the early stages of next season to prove he can. The fact that things have been gradually getting much worse at a time when players should be starting to gel, is the reason why doubts are growing.

I hope he sorts us out. I hope he earns the right to stay here a very long time. But I have lots of doubts. A good cup run will help a lot.

Yeah, don’t agree with most of that to be honest.

I’d wholly accept your right to your doubts and opinion, the rest of your post wouldn’t be my cup tea to be honest.

Bottom half finish and he's surely gone at the end of the season, i hope Moshiri has an end of season clause in his contract that if targets were'nt met we can terminate the contract, knowing Moshiri though......
