2019/20 Marco Silva

Whatever support there was for Silva evaporated after Norwich's second goal. But whoever comes in, will still have to deal with those players who hid on the pitch yesterday - Siggurdson, Richarlison, Schneiderlin, Walcott and the de-motivated Digne and don't give a toss Pickford - who shouts for no reason what so ever and only sets confusion when we are defending set pieces. They didn't want to know yesterday when it wasn't going for the team. They never rolled their sleeves up and became determined to get into the action. When Davies went back into a holding midfield role there was zero movement for him when he had the ball - the senior player hung him out to dry and he got caught in possession a number of times.

Unfortunately, they will still get their £4 million (plus for some) a year wages. We have recruited a bunch of mercenaries who don't really give a damn about Everton. Unless we get a manager in who will not shy away from dumping some of the 'stars' onto the bench then we'll be in the same boat we've been in with Koeman, Allardyce and Silva. I think Silva is going but we'll still have the same players whose strength of character playing for Everton is fragile. They - Siggurdson, Richarlison, Digne, Pickford - would never have the same demeanour playing for their national teams otherwise they'd be binned. We need a manger who has observed the change in the way the game is going - ball forward quickly, plenty of crosses in the box - (which means player in there and not standing around midfield or stuck on the wing), high tempo, want the ball, instantly want to get back and win the ball when we lose it. This next appointment could well be a defining moment for Everton.

Unless we clear out from the top to the bottom and get in people who understand ruthless business we will eternally continue on this road to nowhere.... utterly bored of the plucky Everton kin mantra that has paralysed us.....Like a lot of match going fans watched Everton since 1970 but falling out of love and given my season ticket to sons mate for now .. I can’t see a revolt happening as our fans are too passive ..
And if Moyes or kin Hughes get the gig ( which is a distinct possibility) we get what we deserve ..

If you read the actual paper quotes he hasn’t, just merely stating that he might get the Leicester game because options are limited, I doubt that last part

If these idiots had actually been searching for a replacement weeks ago then options wouldn't be limited, worst run club in the premier league by a mile.

So right now the club have a decision.

Either keep backing silva for a multitude of reasons, such as games coming up, noone out there, still has support etc.

Or sack him now based on the performances of the team over 18 months.

Ive said it before but it boils down to one thing, Ambition. How ambitious are we as a club as we have seen other teams deem much better results as not good enough. How ambitious are we that even losing to all three promoted teams is not a sign of being in real trouble, given the games to come? What ambition do we have after signing the players we have done, for the money we have spent, signing the likes of gomes/richarldson/digne/sidebe/mina are not the type of players you buy for a mid table dogfight every year.

The longer we wait, the greater chance we return to the good old days of Moyes, not winning anything, developing players for the teams above us and keeping the Everton way of doing things, even if it means foregoing actual success in any capacity. Hell if we re hire him we also have the fsct his management style is 8 years out of date now, we will asume the form of a bournemouth/burnely for the foreseeable future.

the next month or so will determine where our ambition lies, after 4 years of Moshiri, are we really accepting these results and league position or do we still hang onto a hope that we should be brushing shoulders with the teams at the top?

I haven’t said it will lol I’ve said if moyes or Hughes come I’m done
I fully agree myself. I can't muster up any enthusiasm for a moyes team again, single handedly held us back for years when we were performing on the pitch. It will be a return to fearing the opposition, cautious play, going so far and stopping every year. I said yesterday i would rather have bentiez than moyes and that is a strong statement from myself, that is the ramifications of hiring moyes back.

Because lets be honest, an interm moyes for the season, lets not pretend he doesnt want the job full time, and a little bit of stability from him bags him just that.

If they don’t sack him sooner rather than later, the best thing to do is vote with your feet.

That performance yesterday was the straw that broke the camels back. I’m not setting foot inside the ground until he’s gone.

Yep BK would be rubbing his hands and getting the pen for moyes to sign a 10 yr deal

What a peculiar post...did you watch the game yesterday?

Slating Richarlison, Digne and Pickford on yesterdays game?

Very odd...
