Nothing to suggest that’s the case. Who would this manager be on whom they are waiting?

The simple reason is (imho) they don’t want to sack him and they’re hoping they’ll be able to muddle through until January and strengthen the see we squad. I suspect there’s a school of thought that he has been unlucky with injuries and with VAR.

In any case, you have to ask yourself what Brands is doing working at this football club. He’s never been a mug but now Everton is making him into one.I believe he’ll get out asap.

He has won every 'must win or face sack' game this season, apart from the Spurs one which he got away with because it was a last min equaliser.
