Him an Boa Morte are more likely to relegate us than take us to Europe.
Boa morte. Distinctly average premier league player, no affiliation with the club..very underwhelming bringing him in. Says a lot for Silva i suppose. I really wanted/expected us to start the season as we finished the last but Silvas out of his depth. He really needs to go asap.

We might end the weekend still just three points off 7th place. It'll be four points, I think, if all the match favourites win tomorrow.

I don't know how that's possible but at least gives some hope that this season isn't a complete write-off already.

Whether we keep or sack Silva is gonna be such a key decision. Could regret it if we do and could regret it if we don't.

There would still be about 9 teams to bypass for 7th though, we could end the weekend joint 3rd from bottom. That’s more realistic.

We lost 6 games out of 10. He will do good if he is not relegating this team.

We'll beat enough teams at home to not have to worry about that I think. We just need a lot more confidence and a bit more fortune. We showed last week how good we can be and we weren't bad at all today until the penalty decision.

It is time to take a long hard look at Silva. We were promised European football and he has failed to deliver anything close to that. In my opinion that is a sackable offence in itself.
We are now in a relegation struggle, 10 games in, 3 wins, lost six, 10 for, 16 against; this is absolutely relegation form. To say he doesn't know his best team is correct, his greatest fault is that he thinks he knows his best team. Followed closely by the fact that he thinks he knows the best way to play. He isn't going to change, he doesn't, so he stays and unless there is a miracle and all other teams suddenly forget how to beat a pedestrian system we remain in this rut. When you look at the teams we have played we are in trouble. If we manage to maintain our current form against the better teams we have yet to play we won't get 40 points.
We need to look how Silva has handled scrapping for points at the bottom end of the table, can't say it fills me with confidence.
Everyone and his dog knew Silva was in trouble weeks ago, I can't believe we haven't scouted someone to replace him. We are back were we were two years ago, we need a damage limitation manager to take us to a respectable position and then bring in someone who can move us on.
Unfortunately we been saying this for years, Mosh needs to look at the whole club to discover what it is that is broken and fix it.

Just heard his post match interview never heard him so animated hes fuming
He was 10 minutes away from making a match winning substitution fine margins between a pat on the back or a kick up the arse
he was not to blame for that result today poor officials and bad game management by senior players on the pitch

I’d disagree. I’ve got a gut feeling, based on no logic whatsoever, that he’s going to win the cup with us. Providing he’s learned from last year and doesn’t field the kids against Watford. On the face of it, we’re a good cup team but I think he’ll get time for that alone.

The problem is, from a league perspective, we’re not getting 7th, I don’t even think we’ll get top half, but we’re in that mingin pergatory - barely good enough for the league, too good to go down.

The problem is he needs to go on a run of good results and today shattered that.

You can be inconsistent but we are consistently losing now.

The away record is shocking. Beyond shameful.

I don't accept that things just are as they are and we shrug our shoulders until the next game.

I really hoped we could avoid this scenario but this is becoming critical now and it's time to acknowledge that.

He just isn't working out and that isn't likely to change.

His tactics in the second half after the Subs reminded me of earlier in the season, Sheffield Utd I think it was, when he just told everyone to charge forward and attack, like watching kids in a playground. Other than the back four I don't know what positions anyone else was supposed to be playing, man doesn't have a clue

That's true but look at last season. We were horrendous for about three months and still managed a respectable position with a few wins towards the end of the year.

Thankfully, the majority of the league is garbage. I guess that should mean we're never in this position but hey ho.

Just got to hope whoever is next is a level above Martinez, Koeman, Allardyce & Silva.

I've heard people have these feelings since 1995 and nothing ever comes of them. We aren't a good cup team because we beat Lincoln and Sheff Wed, that needs to be proven by beating a team that has some degree of quality.
