I don't believe he is close to being sacked, I think that only another run of disastrous results will force the board into action.
I think we will limp along for the season and he will be fired then.
It is dispiriting when the height of your ambition is to stay away from relegation trouble.

The substitution of Bernard with Sigurdsson tells a lot in my opinion.

I like Marco Silva as a man but not as a manager.
If 10 points in 10 matched against only 1 team in the top 10 from last season isn't a run of disastrous results I don't know what you would think would be

i try the same attitude, but we do care, that’s why we have opinions on it.

In all honesty, that penalty decision just took the last bit of wind out of me. I wasn’t even arsed that Brighton scored, just shrugged my shoulders.

I’m sure it’ll pass but as of now, don’t think I’ll bother with the Watford or Spurs games

Three points off seventh. No need for an Allardyce, but someone who knows what they're doing who could stick around for a few years and not get under everyone's skin would be welcome - welcomed by me, at least.

Mate do you really see us getting 7th after the fixtures being played after losing 60% of the games and have a crap GD? And we play the Sky team once.

Agree with you here but ultimately the manager carries the can in football. Writing is on the wall for him, theres no point pretending it isnt anymore.

Fully agree the players are fragile mentally, that extends deeper through the club in my opinion but confidence is only going one way at the moment Dave. A clean slate is needed and the easiest way to do that is to replace the manager. Data doesnt lie, you look at the points return, goals for/against and the level of the teams weve played and theres no excuse to be made for him.
Last week we could all see the massive difference. This week we're a goal up and they caved in after a terrible refereeing decision.

We're not a million miles away from getting a run going.

IMO he has to win on Tuesday and follow up with a good peformance and result against Spurs. If he does that he gets 3 wins in 4 games and that's ok.

Let's see what happens in this next 8 days.

You should get your upgrade lined up before you sack him. That's all I want from the club, I've got no affection for Silva but don't want rubbish decision-making ruining the season when it's still salvageable.
I agree with this. Don't sack the manager cause it's "the thing to do". Have a plan for doing so, everyone saying:
Sack him for xx
Sack him for xx
Etc.
It's all well and good saying that, but what if the club have sounded them out and their demands are too excessive, or Everton don't meet their prerequisites.

I'm as disappointed as the the next for where we are presently, but I understand the need for prudence.

It's not out of the realms, because the league is rubbish and we're half-useful at home. I'm certainly not ready to give up on getting Europe while that's still the case (and if that requires replacing the manager, then we should go for it).

I desperately want all that to be nonsense.

But I watched the highlights of Leicester yesterday on Youtube and I had to watch a barrage of betting adverts that could not be skipped and a constant ad for Sky Sports day pass for £9.99
Its not nonsense. I guess we are all feeling out of love with football at the moment but youre entirely right. I regularly watch AFL and rugby with the aussies, try make them watch the blues and they find it hilarious. Its like a comedy for them when you go from those sports to football. My father in law flat out refuses to watch football because "its more like home and away than a sport".

Its just become way out of touch with what it once was. Money is replacing the community in football, thankfully that is one area we still are top of the pile. Our works in the community. Its still so detached tho, think of all those who have taken literally a whole day out of their lives today and paid to go watch that rubbish. The players get paid more this week than the vast majority of us fans in a year. They will be back tomorrow driving their expensive cars with all the other trimmings for doing what exactly?

What are you for real what cup do you win for being 7th ffs.We are 2 points of the bottom 3.

Struggling to understand what you want other than to just be furious with the whole situation. You don't win a trophy for staying in the league - which is all you seem to want from the next manager - but if we finish 7th at least it's progress on last season.
