She seems to draw a lot of strong opinions from people.

I've not followed her career closely. I've never watched any of the programmes/films she's been in.

My awareness of her has been since she became involved with the monarchy in the UK. And I don't follow their lives closely.

I struggle to understand why people have strong opinions about her and why she draws so much ire.

What are people's opinions?
 
I think she is a two faced manipulative golddigger who wanted all the attention of being a princess without any of the duties and expectations that comes with being a member of the Royal family.

Her actions since have only served to damage the reputation of the Royal family and as consequence the country. She would bring the Royal institution and the UK down in a minute for a little bit more attention on her.

Probably why a lot of idiots on here love her.
 
I find it laughable the lengths people go to dislike her. If she holds her husband's hand she's accused of being controlling. She gives a speech and mentions herself she's accused of being narcissistic. She hugged a friend at a funeral and she's accused of planting them there to create a hug on camera.
It's ridiculous.
Why can't people just accept she's hot AF, she's bagged a prince and she just wants a decent life without being controlled by a racist royal family.

Don’t think many people love her so much. Think she seems a bit of an idiot but that doesn’t make her any different to anyone else in the royal family.
Think she gets a lot of bad press cos she’s seen as an ‘outsider’ who is somehow a bad influence on prince harry. A royal wife should be quiet and have lots of posh kids like Kate.

No character though. I mean, she refuted her own religion to join that circus of grotesques. What sort of person denies their own identity like that?
 
I don't think she's much different than Kate in terms of character, end of the day. I think she gets called out on more due to race.

I think she's at the heart of that particular schism, but if I were her I wouldn't want to hang out around a bunch of people who want me gone either.

I don't think there's a lot more to it than that. Shallow, appearances-based people + shallow, appearances based people = toxicity. The battle of public image is a bit like Highlander, in that there can only be one.
