Does anybody know if the memberships get reduced on the build up to Christmas? Looking at getting 2 tickets for the Villa game at Goodison on the 14th January and with the faff these days of getting spare tickets I am thinking of getting the memberships (2 will be needed) and getting them when they go on sale to membership holders but wanted to see if there is a chance they might be reduced as is going to be £70 before I even buy any tickets.

What is really going to grind your gears is you could pay that and it still doesn't even guarantee you'll get a ticket. The games are selling out fast now.
For instance I didn't get a ticket for City (couldn't make it to that one) but it sold out that day it went on sale to members, so we know the members who actually buy tickets out number the remaining capacity after you subtract the season ticket holders.

No chance. Also, I know some companies do this, but it wouldn't be fair on those who recently purchased memberships at full price.
It would though considering there is only like 10 home games left for the season. Find it all or a con anyway to be honest.

Cup game was nightmare, worse than derby tickets.
Reckon there has been an upsurge in members sales with a sniff of a final. Maybe prioritize those who turned up in earlier rounds like they do big league games.
