Anyone seen this goal?

Its not that amazing, but everyone seems to think its the best goal of all time.

If you can find it on youtube check it out, don't have the link as there are loads there, so just search. But he's just lobbed the keeper. I did that in 5 a side last year.

yeah, I watched it live on ss1 this morning. TBH, mexico played the better team football throughout the game, but the argies just knew how to put it in the back of the net when the need arose. Quality goal by messi, but he did look a bit surprised when it when in.


The number 10 looked good for the argies to, some fella with an everton tattoo and blue hair. name was Riquelme or something I think.

I have seen that type of goal loads, that used to be owen's trademark, only he hit it with more pace and curve.

Well-taken goal, nothing more - but the GolTV commentators thought it was the best goal in history. It's not unique to football - I call it media hero-worship - the player's reputation and status has more to do with the press reaction than the actual goal (or whatever).

Nevertheless, Messi is going to be quite good when he gets the hang of this game.

Lets not forget it was in the semi-finals of the Copa America. You don't often see goals like that in the semi-finals of major tournaments.

I saw a goal by Kerlon when he purposely put loads of top spin on the ball and when the keeper went to gather it, the ball span past him into the bottom corner. Now that is a goal.

Also Messe's goal against Getafe was better too.

Anyone see Maradona's goal for Napoli when he flicked it against his standing leg and over the keeper?

it was a good goal but you seem to see alot of that type of goal nowadays. the lob is a populer way to look good for the camars. but isnt that spectaculer compered to a 35yd thunder bolt, or a trick or two on the edge of the box then making the keeper look silly. i prefer the latter me!

Do you have a link for that goal? Ive seen his skill n dribble etc on youtube but couldnt find that goal... :|, it sounds boss though...
