Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I apologise about my imprudence. Those are the sort of mistakes that I made with the English language. For some reason in my head, town and city are synonymous ?

Nice. I have been doing my own research after my daughter became best friend to a girl whose parents have Irish roots and that's how I began reading about it. It seems the Irish contribution was significant enough that Bolivar dedicated part of his victory speech to thank them. Unfortunately, it is a part of history that I never learned while living in Colombia but having Irish friends has enlighten me about this part of my country's history.
People can be very sensitive about the places they love. I have always been very defensive of Liverpool.

When Cal and I went to see The Human League in the summer, we stayed over in a quaint pub in a place in Cornwall called Lostwithiel. Jazzy will probably know it as it isn't too far from where he grew up. Anyway, Cal was still getting ready so I said I'd pop down and have a drink in the bar whilst I was waiting. There were about half a dozen locals in there having a drink. People in Cornwall are really friendly so it was no surprise that in no time I'm deep in conversation with them. I made the mistake of referring to Lostwithiel as a village. Well they must have spent the next 15 minutes informing me that Lostwithiel was actually a town and back in Elizabethan times it was actually the capital of Cornwall. I got chapter and verse on everything I needed to know about the place.

Anyway next minute Cal comes down, and as I'm ordering another round of drinks at the bar she blurts out to the locals, I really love your Village, it's beautiful. lol

Hahah superb.

As for being defensive about where you live, I find the stereotypes quite funny sometimes.
Harry Enfields Scousers made me laugh.
His Ulsterman also did, but I’m sure others totally disagree !!

I have been using my imagination but your lads are confusing when it comes to your visions of wacky. Do you consider cannabis one of the wacky stuff? Some of you may or may not be aware but I consume cannabis, I actually grow it in my garden both THC and CBD plants, I am big believer of using medical marijuana to treat many diseases that are instead being treated with narcotics or other sorts of medication. For me it helps me with my sleeping issues, I also have been using a balm made of THC that has been very good relieving foot pain that I have been encountering in reason months. So for me marijuana is a healing plant and not one of the wacky drugs but is it for you?
It's nicknamed 'wacky baccy' (baccy-tobacco) over here. Has been for as long as I can remember.

Because of the mild climate down here it's probably the only place in the UK where you can grow it in the wild. So it's quite popular down here Sass

I think the majority of scousers are able to laugh at themselves. That's one of the things that make it such a special place. Harry Enfields stereotyping was actually quite funny I thought. I saw a clip of a live "Bottom" show and it was very cutting by comparison. I used to like Mayal/Edmondson but it sort of changed my opinion of them after seeing it.

I think the cannabis laws in Liverpool must be different to everywhere else. lollollol

If I go anywhere out of Liverpool and do my usual light a spliff up somewhere outside heads start snapping round and people stare while here nobody even bats an eyelid. (I just wanna add I only smoke outside and never in front of kids. Don't think my kids even know I smoke and they're 12 and 9)

I'm not sensitive about where I live inTelford. I'll happily point out to people I was born in Ormskirk and it's my parents fault I have a horrible Midlands accent!

It is the same here in Asheville, compared to other parts of the US.
