That little blue circle that has appeared on WhatsApp, click it to chat with an AI.. they call it optional but it cant be removed and it's always there.. I don't have any other Meta services and i believe it's been rolled out on them all, surly if you don't want this service there should be an option to remove it from view, I also don't trust that Meta wonty have it doing other things.

I don't need it for work but I'm in so many groups it will be very hard to bin it. I really don't want this AI hanging about.. I don't have any other Meta services and if they keep it unremovable then WhatsApp will have to go then.

Yes, I do, and I had a really interesting "chat" about where the US stands as the greatest country in the world and whether Canada would benefit from being a US state.

Meta AI determined that the US isn't high on the great list and Canada wouldn't benefit from being part of it. Doesn't seem like stars and stripes propaganda machine to me.

I watched a documentary about 9 months ago called Accelerate Or Die. It was fascinating (to me). A small part of it also talked about how capitalism drives accelerationism and has done for centuries. There were five or six contributors in the documebtary (Will Self was one) explaining/talking about how accelerationism is changing and will change the world and the best thing we can do for ourselves (to take responsibility for our own happiness) is to embrace it. Your post made me realise the vast difference in 'what is', today, compared to when I watched that documentary 9 months ago. Even if we could or did stop it from happening, humans are so self-centred and afraid we would destroy ourselves far quicker than any 'future' would.

It didn't talk about Meta, Facebook, etc... there are far more powerful influences at work than Zuckerberg but "yes" he is an accelerationist of the first order but he's nothing more than a test pilot with results being closely monitored. I think Musk recently said he was a 3,000 year old alien and if that's the case Zuckerberg has come from the future.

Always found AI to be pretty useless when doing anything to factual accuracy.
Seems to do a cracking job of sticking Jayne Middlemass’ face onto pornstar‘s bodies though. Perhaps this was always its intended function and all the other stuff is them scrabbling around looking for credible uses to justify the huge waste of resources it takes up?
