often listen to this guy on talksport and i just don't get him, don't think andy townsend does either, in fact andy seems to be astounded by the stuff that this fella comes out with. he just seems to either make lots of mistakes or have no knowledge whatsoever, he mumbles and bumbles his way through every show and never fails to come out with some fact that is totally wrong, surely a broadcaster with his experience should be far better at his job than this.

I think that is the joke, surely. He talks crap, acts a little bit pompously, ridicules Townsend's intelligence etc, etc. It's part of their double act.
