Missing Girl is an Evertonian

Absolutely horrific news about the missing girl in Portugal, its her 4th birthday today and I really fear the worst.

To make matters even worse she is a mini blue. I cant even begin to imagine what her parents are feeling, Dylans thread of 'My daughter' got me thinking about her and her family and my heart bleeds for them.

Please god find her safe and unharmed soon!

Agree with everything said.

Parents must be going crazy fearing the worst (im looking at my 3 & 4 year old boys, know i would be).

It shouldn't make any difference which team she supports of course but it certainly did feel (even) worse when I saw the picture of poor little Madeleine in her Everton shirt in yesterday's Telegraph.

I just hope David Beckham's appeal is out of genuine concern and not an attempt to get his name back in the public eye!

It amazes me the publicity this has gone. The sad facts is, This isn't rare, thousands of children go missing in the UK every year and are never found.

Stats dont support her well being and I just pray it's just some loonatic who cannot have a child and wants one and is found sooner rather than later.

Its heartbreaking stuff, the little mite, all our hopes, thoughts and compassion are with her family.

Her parents will have to live with their actions for ever and a day. Some are already heaping criticism on them for leaving the kids alone, no punishment on this Earth could match what they are going thtrough at present. In a strange way I believe she is still alive, possibly more in hope than expectation but it is a lingering feeling of hope. This family will be in my prayers until this is resolved.

I think that is really quite harsh- yes Beckham is a footballer and a celebrity but first and foremost he is a man and a father at that. hes always struck me as a good and loving father and his status was used to raise the profile of the search.

anything that keeps the story and pressure up to help find this little girl all the better, its a shame its such a big story because shes a british girl.

oh, and the parents have to accept some responsibility - you dont leave toddlers on their own in your own home, let alone in a foreign country.

i sincerely hope she is found safe and well, i hope.

It's hard not to fear the worst in these situations. I really feel for her parents and family. Can't begin to imagine the kind of hell they're going through.

Nah fink she just run away, but the police and that don't even no where she is so they keep coming in and asking questions etc. Nah she's one of them really quiet types, only really spoken to her 1nce or 2wice shes got some 19 year old boyfriend hu is clinically depressed and he has a kid etc.. but he dont know where she is...not good
