Congrats to Salt Lake who got their 1st title in anything ever. Their 5'9" keeper Rimando came up big on pens again. His lifetime record is like 39 percent stopping pens now. Hes a good keeper too, if teams could get over the fact he's 5'9" he'd be in Europe now. Also their striker Findley? may be a decent poor mans replacement as his game is a bit like Davies.

However the game....my god. I know Seattle has good fans so that's why the game is played there but spend a few bucks FOR THE TITLE GAME, so the game could at least be played on a you know that thing called a GRASS pitch. First game I ever saw in which the ball would appear to pick up speed as it was rolling across the plastic. The ball was bouncing around like they were kicking a tennis ball. The field was so hard (despite being rained on) you could set up a pair of hoops and get a game of basketball on the pitch.

This game was a total disgrace for american soccer fans.

These are one of the many reasons I ask myself why to I bother sticking up for this league.

artificial pitches shouldve been banned when they were first used.

The artificial turf fields I've played on in Seattle have all been at least as soft as the pitch at Goodison. I was amazed at how hard that pitch is. The ball does roll a little bit faster on the artificial but it's the best choice for that stadium.

Field Turf is better than an average to poor grass pitch any day.

Galaxy never should have been in the MLS Cup to begin with after the refereeing fiasco against my Dynamo. So, I'm extremely pleased that RSL won the whole enchilada.
