Raiola is poison, used a kid to get a nice day agent fee, he was never ready to make the step moving abroad after 1 breakout season.

Juve to protect a promising asset, should have loaned him to another Italian team.

Poor kid has his confidence shot right now.

Basically says that we didn’t originally want Kean, he wasn’t on the shortlist of strikers drawn up by Brands or Silva and he only came about after we were rejected by all the others, including Mario Mandzukic from Juve, which one might infer how the Kean conversations began.

Pretty sure we tried to bring him in on loan last January but were told he wasn't available, he may not of been first choice in the summer but I don't think we just randomly signed him with no previous interest

In other words, not only did we not beat off competition from every other club in the world as some would have us believe, we didn't even want him ourselves.

It appears so.

I said from the very start there were red flags about this one and der top bloos gave me pelters for it.

I'm not sure, mate.

The fact that Juve were so willing to let him go at such a knockdown price and a top 4 club in Europe's top leagues didn't snap this kid up, a kid of such obvious potential, implies that they perhaps knew something we didn't.

Think it was more Raiola peddling his wares. As it also infers. Not the kids fault.

The lad was totally unprofessional yesterday. He's not match fit at all and was knackered after less then ten mins. Now it might not all be his fault, Big Dunc shouldn't of allowed him anywhere near the pitch in that condition but his petulant tantrum after he was quite rightly subbed off was even more pathetic then his lack of stamina.

Never mind the lads ability having watched MOTD, Dunc could have done better and not turned his back on him. All the words of why the subbing was done are rubbish, it appears to be down to performance and regarding that Kean needs to look at himself. get the feeling he does not want to be here.

Hope Dunc speaks to him today to clear the air and gives him a chance against The Foxes to prove himself once and for all.

Makes you wonder what he does in training, and remember was fined for turning up late, which raise ?s over his commitment

oh lad behave

Sound like that whopper souness

the lad hasn't been given a proper run to be judged yet,

also juventus weren't so willing to let him go, he had 1 year left on his contract and if they didn't sell him they lose him on a free

just making sh1t up now to suit your mad agenda

the lad hasn't been given a proper run to be judged yet,

And he won't get a proper run unless he get's himself fit, starts putting a shift in and turning up on time. All of which he's struggled to do. Shouldn't be too hard should it?

Nobody is judging his playing ability, in fairness we can't. Something far more basic is lacking in his game and that's worrying. Why would any manager play him if he's not doing the basics?

also juventus weren't so willing to let him go, he had 1 year left on his contract and if they didn't sell him they lose him on a free

If Juventus wanted to keep him, they would have kept him. Let's not skirt around the truth there, if Juventus really saw a future for this kid, they would have kept him - instead of playing a 33 year old, utterly past it Gonzalo Higuain.

They would have offered him the reassurances he would have had more game time there and they would have given him a contract befitting his reputation. They didn't do any of that. Therefore, when we offered them circa £30m for him, it became a very good deal for them.

Sound like that whopper souness

Well, for consistency, I shared a similar opinion to Souness at the time. Although he didn't express it how I would have, he did suggest that something about Kean and the transfer didn't appear quite right months ago - and that's kind've how it's played out thus far. It may well turn around but Ferguson and Silva have both had issues with this kid, as have his previous managers - at what point does it become Kean's fault?

just making sh1t up now to suit your mad agenda

I'm not making anything up, it's plain for all to see. The only one with an agenda to push here is you.

It was ruthlessness shown from Ronald Koeman which pushed Ross Barkley away from out club and led him to running his contract down.

I'm not necessarily saying that Duncan did the wrong thing or trying to say that managers cannot be ruthless but there's a fine line between using these moments to teach and develop a young footballer and completely shooting a player and his confidence.

I've got no issues with a manager being ruthless but it needs to follow up with constructive feedback and training to work on the issues/concerns that are in place. I really hope that Dunc and the coaching staff will follow this up with a real focus on how he can imrpove and develop under the Everton model.
Was this a bad thing?

Ross isn't anywhere near Chelsea's bench let alone starting XI

Now this I could have agreed with. Dunc could have looked him in the eye off the pitch and said something into his ear rather than ignore him.

Irrelevant though. The conversation after the match and today will determine where the young lad goes from here. He needs to learn from this
