Lets face facts, we are highly unlikely to sign two good wingers this summer, primarily due to the draught in terms of decent wingers being available.

So, would you favour a sheff utd approach to pitch management and have the goodison pitch made much narrower so as to squeeze play in the middle and restrict the room afforded the likes of robben, giggs, ronaldo, swp, rosicky, lennon, downing, and other pretenders.

I don't believe theres a so call draught in wingers. It's just that we cannot afford the good ones. There are also affordable talent out there I am sure. We just have to be less rigid and look beyong our shores. Just like how we uncover arteta. It just a matter of luck and judgement.

One way is to trial before we buy, and I remember moyes use to do this quite often in pre season.

I don't believe in having the narrow approach as well, we have prove we can play well with our current setup, if it's not broken why need to fix it?

With the players we have we can not narrow the pitch. One of AJ's qualities is pulling out wide and out-pacing the defenders into the middle. I don't want to lose AJ, and I don't want the pitch narrowed.
I know we are missing wingers, but we are doing OK. (Imagine what we would be capable of with the players we have and great wingers, dream dream dream) sorry, got carried away .
