Morgan Schneiderlin

Who cares about the fee?

He is a good player and he is worth whatever the selling club says he is worth.

If you put a house on the market at £200k and it sells, the house is worth that. If you put a house on the market at £200k and there is no interest, the house maybe overpriced.

Schneiderlin had more suitors than just Everton. Luckily we had the money to pay what the selling club wanted.

Also, McCarthy has literally had one good season with us. After he started agitating a move to Spurs to get a new contract here, he has been bang average. Not saying he isn't a good player, Schneiderlin is just better.

Your anger is fuelling him mate. Simply laugh and mock, or don't respond at all.
No anger here mate, just the occasional head shake and then a bit of this;

Can you all stop feeding the troll? The ignore feature doesn't really work when every post looks like someone talking to themselves.

Morgan is a highly rated player by pretty much everyone, bought for a fair price. Most neutrals are considering it one of the beet bits of business done in the window, so Everton fans, who should be at least a little bit biased, should be pretty pleased. He played damn well yesterday, and given his lack of match fitness, that surely bodes well.

The answer is no one mate.

Exactly. Still going on about how we overpaid and didn't need a player in his position?

Saying the same thing for the past two weeks. I think everyone knows his stance. Ruining thread after thread and the ignore feature is a waste of time.

Davies is very young. We do not know what we have with him yet. Claiming we do would just be foolish. While its not super likely his ideal role is further forward, what is the one thing that speaks to actual ability? Results. You dont play a player because they "look better there", you play because over time, they get results.

I think it would be a little foolish to discount the fact that Davies has had a disproportionate hand in our goals scored in the past several weeks. And while Davies has played very well in recent weeks, I think we will start to see from Scheniderlin why he is top class in that area. Another benefit, is while Schneiderlin has the experience to make less mistakes, Davies youth means he will produce more mistakes, and those can be covered much more readily up front than in the back.

Yes, and Everton paid £25M for Bolasie and £24M for Scheiderlin.

Thanks, you;re making my point for me.

Players who are worse than Bolasie/Schneiderlin.. costing less than Bolasie/Schneiderlin?

This is headline news. :hayee:

You've posted that Schneiderlin is worth max £17/18m - we paid £20m in what is naturally a window which has inflated prices.

Even though I disagree that we overpaid for Morgan - you seem to be disagreeing with yourself here :coffee:.

I'm wondering if you have ever had a positive post on here? Sure we paid a lot for Schneiderlin and Bolasie but that is what it is going to take. Is it your money that is being spent? I'm unsure of how Bolasie will do with his injury but from what I have seen with Morgan he has been good for us. Take a breath dude
That's the very issue: it isn't what it takes. No clubs are paying those fees for players like that other than Everton. Bo,aside especially was breathtaking in its stupidity.
