So, similarly to Scolari, another high profile manager Mourinho has snubbed the England job after having discussions with the tit known to his mother as Brian Barwick.

After the whole Scolari/McClaren joke, can somebody tell me why the media/English fans are not calling for Barwicks job?

He said: "After serious thought, I decided to exclude myself despite it being a fantastic position.

"We exchanged ideas to evaluate the entire situation about the England squad and set the goals in case of a real approach."

Translation: "The FA are clowns - am I [Poor language removed] working for them"

His head has been called for on here, he is a rs dope no more no less but gets paid £500,000 pa because he is qualified, what qualifications does he need, a brain would help a bit.

I don't want Mourinho, I want an Englishman who is up to it, if there isn't one then the FA should sack its self for presiding over this entire fiasco in our game. Shortage of quality players, shortage of English managers, I'd give that job to Joe Royle, Peter Reid or similar English manager who has won something before bankrupting the entire FA with there high profile flops

I was never convinced that Mourinho would have been the ideal choice. Okay under him Chelsea did well but what if he had not millions to spend how would he have done then.

Now there is talk of capello, who cannot speak English. This seems to go from bad to worse, might as well give it to Shearer.

Watch the 1994 Champions League final where Milan thrashed Barcelona 4-0 (the same Barca side that thrashed Man Utd earlier in the comp thanks to inspired performances from the likes of Romario, Stoickov, Koeman etc.). In my opinion the Milan side under Capello back then was the finest club side I've ever seen.

Well they went something like 55 games unbeaten, which when you consider the strength of Serie A at the time is an incredible achievment. They did that largely without Marco van Basten as well who had retired through injury.

Also consider that the Barca team they beat in the final were the so called Cruyff dream team and had some amazing players, yet they were blown away.

Jose was just feining interest to get one of the big clubs interested in him. Barwick was too stupid to realize that it was a bluff and should have offered him the job right off the bat. After all Jose has only said oh 1235 times that "I won't manage a national team until I'm too old to manage a club." What part of that did Barwick not understand.

Capello is probaly just sitting back like "Oh now you like me! Wait a minute what did Sven make again? 4mil? Let's start the negoations at 8."
