That means that when Baines to United failed, and when Heitinga's move to Turkey was derailed, they then turned to selling Rodwell.
This is how our club directors operate. This is how Everton is run. A complete and utter financial disaster zone that squeezes the life out of the playing side of things.
This cant go on.
Can't argue with this. Spot on.
They don't even hide it very well!
I know mate, i never used to be like this. Im fed up with the whole lot. Moyes puts no pressure on this board who in turn pay him a huge wage just to buy low sell high an keep us in the prem....
It's sickening.
By the way.... RB & RW
Is there such a thing as a pay as you play deal anymore?
If he gets that it wont be a bad thing in signing a unemployed 32 year old from chester imo
To be fair, I dont think too many are thick. Some are, of course. But the vast majority of those on here who come on when the latest disaster strikes to put their tuppenceworth in about 'it's a good deal for the club' etc are people who work for the club officially or are on some form of drink from them in terms of getting a match ticket worked their way every so often - so they identify with the board and their policy.
There's a lot of vested interests that dont take too kindly to having their cosy little arrangement threatened.
It's because the stuff about the board is true. Everyone knows it's true because they experience it year in and year out. I'd say if someone doesn't understand what's going on at Everton at boardroom level now after 12 years of this lot then they are either a) working for the club as shills and trolls, or b ) thick.
The PFA may not allow "pay as you play" contracts but there's surely nothing to stop Everton (or anyone else) structuring a contract to be, say, £10-20K basis plus £30-40K match fees. This would be the equivalent of PAYP without the insecurity of no pay if not fit (available).
We could offer him £1k p/w with a £30k appearance fee. That isn't illegal. Doubt we'd have the balls to do that and he wouldn't accept it anyway.
More than hes worth. Furthermore theres something inherrently wrong about Owen saying he will retire if no premier league club came in for him -- well mate, youre totally past it and always injured.
Retire now.
