Moyes linked with Villa and Spurs

Seconded, how about we determine:
1. Where is the money going at GP
-and then maybe, if it follows:
2. why are we so badly run

Well Martinez has turned it down now as well - Do you get the feeling there is something funny going on at Villa for them to talk to lots of managers who then say no!

again, no. WRONG. are bridging finance a form of loan? do we pay a charge for this facility?
and the thread is indeed "moyes linked with villa" not "villa debts and problems"
i have not debated you on moyes leaving because i doubted he would, especially for villa.
i have debated you on OUR problems, its just you constantly have this need to prove how clever you are by throwing figures concerning villa, despite my saying im not concerned about there finances. i have asked you about our finances, as you infer we are better run, im asking where and how? just because we dont have debts as large as villas? thats not what i meant, but you keep avoiding this issue, so i left with looking as to why?
do you not understand simply put questions?
do you actually believe people on an everton forum REALLY need or want to know about villas debts in such detail?
as i said, you come across as intelligent matt, but sometimes your knowledge blinds you to what people REALLY want to know.
where is the money going at GP
why are we so badly run
why does no one want to buy us
considering you keep harping on about villas financial plight, i wonder what information you could dig up about evertons, seeing as its an everton forum of course. and for the record, it was NOT me that brought finance into this thread.

Given that many were of the MISTAKEN belief that Moyes would have gone because they were MISTAKEN in thinking that Moyes would have millions to spend at Villa

Villa's finances relative to Everton's was very very very very relevant and important and does warrant discussion as that was the major selling point, for those claiming it was going to happen.

And it's obvious you don't know what bridging finance is, or that the fact that Everton in the most difficult of times was able to secure it (and didn't actually need).

Our issues are no more than (and are actually LESS THAN) other clubs current problems. THAT IS THE POINT.

Sunderland have sold off players to the tune of £44 million to pay back debt in recent months.

Newcastle the same.

Villa the same, or will be this summer.

This is all VERY relevant.

My knowledge doesn't blind. Because I'm not coming at it with an agenda like you are.

your obsession with villa is becoming boring , ffs, its an everton forum, go debate that crap on a villa forum.

I notice how you're still here.

It says alot if they can't even tempt Martinez from WIGAN ATHLETIC !

im not happy with EVERTONS position, are you?

I am. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. As a football club, on limited means (we've established why this is), Everton are run well as a business.

Unfortunately football is all about 'keeping up with the Joneses'. And we're doing this quite nicely.

It's not anyone's ideal scenario, I'd love there to be a multi million pound warchest to buy, buy, buy. But I'm a realist. We're Everton. It's not going to happen overnight unless an oligarch or Sheik comes out of the woodwork. It will happen given time IF the right moves are made off the field...and this does not necessarily involve the extraction of the existing board. The worry is that in football, new ownership generally equals rash, speculative investment which is a very bad thing.

I'm still waiting for this evidence that Everton have taken loans to pay interest payments for loans already taken.

Once again, why let the facts get in the way of you?

Doing plenty of spouting but have NOTHING to back it up with.

For one thing, why would Everton need to with a wage:turnover at < 70% !!!! FFS.

Sirblue admitted he doesn't have evidence that that happens.

Yet you still spout off about Kenwright and "scouting fees" but provide no evidence whatsoever to back it up.

And when exactly this Summer will Bill be selling up, got an exact date for us to back up your claims that he will be?

*applauds*

But ref: emboldened bit, even that has to be viewed long term, has lead to massive wage inflation.

The new scenario of the fair play reg means that organic growth is where "investment" can most help us.

If anyone is an idiot its got to be you for referring to anyone as an idiot now you've stated that Martinez has confirmed even he won't go to Villa.

i asked you a simple question, are you happy with evertons position, and AGAIN, you had to bring villa into it. WHY. just once answer the question asked. its not difficult really. just for the record. i have no interest in aston villas finances, ground, players (unless we are thinking of buying them) manager , chairman, tea lady, JUST EVERTON>

if only all posters answered questions as honestly and succinctly as this, then there would be more fun in the debates. thanks. but i still think we could be better run though.

Well that's an ignorant position to take.

I told you why here:

No I'm not happy with Everton's position. I'm furious that the ground hasn't been redeveloped in the past 15 years and we're missing the expanded capacity.

However I count my blessings that we're not indebted like Villa, and that I'm not deluded like many Villa supporters to think that they're in a marvellous positon.

They've gone from Moyes, Hughes and Ancellotti with millions to spend, three weeks ago, to Martinez and grim reality this week.

So there we go. RELATIVE.

Thank god I'm an Evertonian. But we need redevelopment of infrastructure pronto.
