I think its a masterstroke if he is another McCarthy type.

Looking at the videos (nothing else to go on) he reminds me of Rino Gattuso.

I actually think if he can adapt quickly he may actually be first choice alongside McCarthy by the sexond half of the season as Barry may start to tire and need to be rotated.

We have jags/distin/stones/alcaraz/browning/duffy so its hard to see where hed get a game even with a couple of sales.

Think he and Galloway will be groomed for defensive midfield myself so in a couple of years if Barry and Gibson move on we would have

McCarthy-Besic-Ledson-Galloway I imagine

It's a dilemma.

If he's a centre mid, less Osman.

If he's a centre half, less Alcaraz.

Funny how a 2-4mil signing has ALMOST made us so excited to not focus on Lukaku.

If hes another McCarthy then that would be a formidable barrier long term with Ledson to come through and Barkley just ahead.

Everything is so positive at Everton these days, such a change from Moyes' last 4-5 years, he'd be sulking in interviews with that furrowed brow and angry eyes about now.



If the rumoured signings come off the fans will be buzzing to see these lads play, Gibson and Besic with Traore up top would easily be good enough for the group games in Europa, could do with another really good no 10/winger to rotate/compete with Ross though.

Certainly seems believable when Martinez says it yet not many believed Moyes when he said the same about Fellaini.

Agreed it's not a traditionally exciting position, but after watching Moyes's sides with total weakness in midfield get bossed by anyone up for it (LFC every season) and thinking back to Reid, Bracewell, Parkinson, I'm deffo excited.
