P.S. Don't you think it's outlandish/ridiculous that Barkley is ONLY being talked about as a £25m player? Martinez knows the score.

..I have to say that I like this boy. Lot of energy and a bit of a character, delighted he was on RMs radar ahead of the tournament (which puts to bed the inflated World Cup performance stat). £4m could be a steal, would be delighted if the rumour is accurate and we can make it happen. Bottom line is will we have a stronger squad at the beginning of next season than the end of the last.

Mate, if Andy Carroll is worth £35 million then Besic will be worth at least the GDP of Japan and 17 curly wurlies.

Have Everton or Martinez actually confirmed that they are in talks with Besic? I can't see any actual confirmation of our interest anywhere. Talk Sport apparently said he'd signed a few days ago...but even that is unsubstantiated , and hasnot appeared on SSN. Just remeber that TalkSport use the Sky Sports newsfeed..they get almost all their news from Sky. So why haven't Sky mentioned this ?
