Thought it had been sorted a few weeks ago, had it all set up, and then all houses in my area were disconnected from high speed internet while BT upgrade lines in the area until the 30th April (could be longer and then would have to wait for Orange to try and get it working). Been a nightmare because of phone line in new house so I have ordered an internet with virgin media (doesnt use BT phone line) which is installed on 1st may (shockingly, earliest they could install) but for time being, am paying £30 a month for a 46hbps dial up connection :huh: It even makes that ancient dial up sound when i connect! lol

But looks like i should now finally be able to be around! - albeit ridiculously slowly!

virgin media is what NTL used to be, firstly, dont hold your breath for may the first, what speed have you signed up for?

anyway, hope to get you back on board as soon as possible, selfishly speaking i want somone throwing Vbookie bets up :biggrin:
 
Only option I had was with them suits, they are only company who do the area who dont use BT phoneline.

Only signed up for 2mb for time being. Roll on the 1st may! (takes 15+ seconds to open every thread! haha)

I still use dial up here. Nice to see Kirkby is moving with the times, have they still got that [Poor language removed] awful clock in the towny where the gargoyles pop out on the hour.

Mad, mad place. But its home and I love it. Had a Jackie Mundos pizza when I was back. Expensive but the bollocks of a pizza.
