I'm a supporter generally of Israel, although I've problems with various policies it has pursued. In saying that, the aim of its neighbours is to literally drive it into the sea. It's no wonder that it feels on edge all the time.

But Netanyahu is a disaster waiting to happen. I figured we'd seen the last of this right-wing thug but clearly not. My view is that this is a disaster for Israel, Palestine and the middle east as a whole.

Netanyahu makes other hawks look like pigeons. He is a real thug, has only got there thanks to the support of a very right wing party. For you and me that would be Neo-Nazi.

What they did in Gaza was way over the top and they should pay to rebuild the homes, schools, hospitals etc.

Yeah, I get the "neo-nazi" feeling about him but I didn't say it for obvious reasons. He's repulsive and the type of leader that causes problems rather than solves them. Can't imagine the peace process gathering much pace now, at least not pace towards peace.
