Hi everybody, lifelong Celtic fan who always considered Everton to be my 'English' team. Had first visit to Goodison 4 years ago with my son and we're now mad on the blues. Try to see 3 or 4 games a season and gladly miss Celtic games to come down if need be. Love everything about the place, the atmosphere, the fans, the stadium and always leave with kit from the store, proudly wear the strips when playing 7s, which I play 4 times a week. Not bad for a 54 year old.

We've been down twice so far this season, saw draw with Arsenal and win against West Ham. Favourite game we've been at so far was last season's 3-0 against Arsenal. Always drive down, watch game and drive home straight afterwards, can be a bit of a bummer if we end up sitting right behind a pole but that hasn't happened too often. Hope to come down soon and really hope the boys can string some better results together.

My son has worn his hoops to a few Everton games and we always get a great reception from the fans. Only time he got abuse was from a Chelsea fan last season but that's to be expected from them. Hope we get a result against them later on today.

Would ideally love to come to one of the bigger games, Man U or L'pool ( can I mention them on here? ), but happy to get tickets for whatever games I can. Hope to post more and will enjoy this forum once I know how it works.

Yeah it's OK to mention Liverpool. Hope you enjoy your time here as much as your trips to the match. It must be a bit of a novelty for you to visit a city with 2 top flight teams.........

Looking very likely to be at least another season without the other lot in our top division. Can't honestly say I've missed them.

Welcome Mate. Going by your name, did you work in shipbuilding as a welder? My uncle worked at Yarrows up there on the Clyde.
Been up there many times. Just like Cammell Lairds here on Merseyside our shipbuilding industry has gone down the pan like most things in this country.

No, never worked on the shipyards but I was a welder in my younger days and it seemed to be a catchy name to use on the Celtic forum I'm also part of.
