I agree, the comment was to an earlier message. I do though think his time is past, he’s not right for a club that needs a rebuild.Although to be fair, in what way would that be different for any other manager we appoint??
Supposedly ~40 people "applied" which I find really funny, it's like they put their CV on Indeed or something. That’s a possibility for sure. Everything else is conjecture. None of us have any idea what the process has been behind the scenes or who was interested or who we targeted initially.
What we do know is the club have taken the experienced route again and for some reason Rafael Benitez appears to be the best option.
From an outsiders perspective I’d say there has to be little options available or interested in the job for us to steep to the levels of hiring him. Especially after having a manager of Ancelotti’s ilk previously.
Some want him. Some don’t. Some think he’s good enough, some don’t. Fan base is split.
Just like any other candidate really.
In answer to your question, no, no and bloody right!Have we announced Rafael the gaffer, yet?
Is it defo him who is gonna be our new manager? That first game of the season will be interesting if it is.
Not really. Some want him. Some don’t. Some think he’s good enough, some don’t. Fan base is split.
Just like any other candidate really.
Much more split than any appointment that's been made before. Underplaying it isn't really giving an accurate reflection of the situation.
It goes well or it goes disastrously. There is no real middle ground here.
Some people practice cannibalism, some don't. The human race is split. Some want him. Some don’t. Some think he’s good enough, some don’t. Fan base is split.
Just like any other candidate really.
DefinitelyMore split than Fat Sam?

Much more. I didn't see anyone happy with Allardyce as manager.More split than Fat Sam?
