There is a lot of sense in that, but I think the one positive there would absolutely be from appointing Conte would be a recognition that the side is not that far off being capable of winning things. We talk about building projects etc but we do sort of miss the point that a lot of work has been done already.

I mean, had Carlo not overseen such calamitous home form in the second half of the season we'd have got into the CL, even with the dross that infested the squad - bin them off (as has started this week with Walcott et al) replace them with better players and with a manager like him the mentality would probably shift quite quickly. Then all it takes is hard work and keeping it going throughout the season, which is what he almost certainly would deliver (based on his previous jobs).

Spot on that mate, we just had Carlo our ambition should be to find someone as close to his level as possible

Actually I said the manager should google and get a feel of fans feeling towards players and shift them out, the line of Iwobi and Sigi, won’t happen and instead they play week in and week out for a potter because the metric say they run a bit

If Nuno got Wolves top 7 why couldn’t he get top 4 with us with a bigger budget? Moyes nearly did it with West Ham.

Also Conte isn’t coming here when he has jibbed Spurs for not being ready to win anything. We need to get real.

I would love Poch, but I don’t think it’s realistic, we aren’t that big an attraction at the minute.

He won’t necessarily have a bigger budget here than at Wolves, both clubs are equally well backed with similar spends.
I can see no reason why he will achieve anything more with us than he already has with Wolves.
He has reached his ceiling and it’s roughly where we already are.

Told you already. His tactics got them 4th. A team that won 9 years in a row he got them to come 4th. Injuries, you mentioned Arthur, who had played more last season than he did for Barcelona the year before, cuadrado that had his second highest number of appearances for 7 years. Old players being crap, same ones that won the league season before.

sugar coat it whatever way you want, you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. The guy has one year experience of which he completely failed hence him being sacked.

No I want a Conte Simone Ancelotti Zidane type manager,
Following that someone like Ralf Rag or the Lille fella or Poch
Someone who knows what it’s like to win something

Not a Well Potter brilliant because his XP made him 3rd but he finished 17th
Or a Nuno who home sick and clearly needs a break
Or god forbid a Ferguson or Lampard

We hired Ancelotti who nobody thought we'd get, who's since been poached by one of the biggest teams in the world.

Yet people think the likes of Conte or Sarri are out of our depth even though they'd still get paid double digit £ms a year and have £100m+ to spend in the summer.


But fine let's get back to that plucky little people's club mentality and hire Nuno or Howe or another recently relegated manager.

No but potter and Nuno should if there appointed as some ppl will want them out day 1 and should they win 2/6 we be calling for them to be sacked. If they where to bin off sigi and Iwobi they get more leeway

But it’s not. He got Wolves European football 2 seasons on the bounce. That is our target. I’d be happy with Nuno to be honest. We need to start making European football a must, and then move forward in trying to achieve CL football.
